i'll be honest and say i don't know much about this girl other than that i think it's safe to say she's considered a socialite.. most people probably know her as lauren davis....she was apparently recently married to a colombian billionaire....so there you go.

but regardless of who she is or what she does (occasionally write for vogue, perhaps?...) i like her style more and more lately....in older pictures she looks a bit like any pretty blonde with access to pretty dresses....but lately she seems to have tapped into some sort of new minimalism....less bright colour, less glitz and more neutral shades, clean lines etc....which i'm really liking...

so without comment on her lifestyle or her social standing i think it's fair to create a thread just because she's another girl with access to great clothes....and they're fun to look at!...

I've met Lauren and was surprised at how sweet she was. Her style can be pretty hit or miss, but sometimes she just nails it. I agree with you adorefaith that her style continues to progress, so thanks for starting the thread, should be a fun one to watch.

I really like a lot of the outfit she wears. It does help being tall, pale and blonde though, and all these attributes are exacerbated even more in real life!

I know she's done a lot of work at Vogue (started off as a Fashion Assistant and is now a Contributor) but does anyone know how she started out?

there are a lot of rumors about how she started - model / fit model / failed model, etc. - but she has since worked mostly in pr (at j. mendel and carolina herrera) and then went back to vogue as a sittings/contributing editor.

oh that's right maffam...i remember reading a US vogue quite a few yrs ago about her...and at the time she was wearing a LOT of j.mendel because she was doing pr for them...
