^ that's such an unflattering shot of her
It shows perfectly how careful photographers need to be when theyre working with her angles

I'm done with people bashing her, sure, she has few angle she can work with, but when will a face this controversial and simply iconic come into existence, especially a McMenamy namesake? Every single model, every single person has a photo of themselves that is not flattering in the slightest, and Lily is no exception. It really just depends on the styling, photographer, and lighting that determines whether or not she looks good or not. I think the amount of anger that people get out of seeing her face just makes me like her even more.

^ exactly, her face is so interesting and she has such unexpected features and this just makes me like her even more. I started getting interested in her when I bought her I-D cover and read her interview. She feels so young and full of life
Photographers and stylists are still learning to work with her, and when they do it right her photos look amazing

Haters mainly hate her because of her last name, it's just envy. They can't stand the fact that she's having a great momentum in the business and that at the end of the day, her last name is not that relevant like some like to say, why? 'cause she has proved she can take great pics and is interesting enough to caught designers' attention. Same with Cara, Georgia and Edie. A family name is never enough. Take it from Poppy, Lauren, Elletra, Paris, etc. They all wanted to be fashion models at some point of their lives 'cause they thought their last name would get them the title.. it didn't work, why? They don't have the famous it factor every good model has. Lily has it, Cara has it, same with Edie and Georgia. All of them have a distinctive feature that sets them apart from the crowd. The extra something that words can't describe. Even if haters want to convulse on the floor everytime they see any of these getting another cover or campaign. They will never stop blaming it on their last names, but if we take as an example the failed attempts I mentioned before, the truth is that the body of work of a model is the only thing that truly speaks for her talent.

That System editorial is absolutely fantastic, so demented, so wrong it's right.
