Linea

Softgrey, just for reference I believe Linea itself or certian pieces from it are actually unisex. I think thier was a wonderful flowing, drapey jacket for S/S 05 from what i remember.

i know...i think that's very cool...

I think with items like this, yes you can appreciate them in pictures but to see it in person it allows for you to really appreciate the cut, the fabric, and all that goes into making a minimalistic piece. And I agree softie, it's a much underappreciated art, to pare something down to the essentials but have great cut, and shape.

That said, I worry about the fit being so slim. I mean how many people can wear something that is cut slimmer than dior homme? Also that first jacket. There is a great beauty about the leather but I don't find it minimalist at all. This could be just a comment on where I come from but I find it to be quite aboriginal and native. The idea of salted or tanned skin with the the edges being left as is, is quite an old technique of theirs.

I'm sorry but I really try to take everything into consideration and your arguments as well. This looks undone and reminds me of clothing from the stone age. No offense people.

hehe

I think that may be the inside of a coat - every piece is reversible.
I know Linea is not your style, but the craftsmanship can still be appreciated.

I rather agree with you about the second picture. I think it looks awful. But I think the first picture is fine.

Ah, yes. It must be. But that is not what I would call reversible. Actually, I think most coats usually look as good or better than that when reversed.

I may be incorrect though, I believe Runner provided this image as set showing how Linea was tailored/assembled.
One of the 2.

Guess what time it is!?

Linea S/S 05 time!

I'll begin posting pictures now and the rest when I get back

Details upclose, whats always so important for Linea.

A lot of last season Linea items are available, in addition.
Of course something that like will not sell out entirely.
The wonderful washable leather shirts are available at minority rev..
but 263550 yen

A couple of comments:

Like it's been said before you must see these pieces in person, I can not stress that enough. I've seen it a million of times, something looks all right on the picture, but once you see it with your own eyes, you are smitten. I got the bag (Carpe Diem line) made from Trio fabric, it's really beautiful.

I personally adore the reversable coat, I'd wear it every frigging day. And I'd sleep in that leather jacket. :D

Raijin, I think it's hard to take a risk of keeping a large stock of superexpensive clothing that you technically can't put on sale, that's why the stock is usually small.

And finally, runner, we miss you!

So far I'm not impressed with S/S 05, though.

I couldn't agree with you more Faust:flower:
That jacket freaks me out! Bad ***!!! I love the white leather, but don't really like the length. If the natural hem was taken up to the knees it would be ideal (for me at least). And I fell in love with the very first piece posted when runner put it in another thread. The T-pin closures are genious!!!
Not too sure of SS05. I'm very interested in the line/zip of the black jkt in the second pic raijn posted. The rest I'd really have to see in person to comprehend.
