unfortunately there is not "much" that I can talk about that can be satisfactory to you.
maybe enough info willingly comes from the english sphere, and you don't any more need to listen to someone who doesn't speak english.
just hoping time will not be a triple burden to him.

"la memoria that allows us to review the past, understand the present, and sense the future.

for what I did, do now, and have to do
in the past, in the present, and in the future
I repent, agonize, hearten
in regret, in suffering, in expectation
the sour experience, the bitter fruit, the sweet hope
a menace, an affliction, an assuagement"

it seems as if, since the presentation in the tomato processing plant in 2000, his gaze on fashion has been the gaze of an outsider who is at home nowhere. it's the gaze of a wanderer who seeks after something that does not exist, back and forth like a pendulum, between no-more and not-yet, in this time of need.

^^there is something very lonely and painful about that idea...

perhaps.. he has his own ideals that seems not in the right time, right place.

the future - altruistic altieri seem to see in term of fashion are similar to the ideal of web 3.0. (and after all, his a linux user) >> "open source" "semantic" "personified" "live mass collaborations" - "social uni form".

and yet, this ideal occupy hint of communism - bound to collide with the democratic change + rise of the consumer china.

anyway.. something trivial - one of the feat of laced m_moria footwears is that the laces has no end, it's fused into an infinite loop intertwined between eyelets.

there used to be a carpe diem silver circular zipper-puller in the shape of snake like uroborus, and a minimalized version of the puller applied to avantindietro a decade later.
the circular trajectory, the repeating nature of our time.
closing where it began but on a higher level, returning to the beginning as an advance, evolution.
m_moria gives me a faint dejavu since it has some vestige of the cordovan boots delivered to stores in 00.
when he said "seize the moment", according to his explanation, he was not referring to this moment but a certain moment when his exploring had begun. sort of linear progression in the form of spiral. in a way, divining the future is not only looking forward but thinking backward. at once anticipation and recollection. perhaps that's why his products sometimes look like ooparts. the concept behind lmaltieri was the fusion of old and new. l (his son's initial) - m (aurizio) altieri.

( btw, LUC's trademark, that open circle, the washer, O of o-project, etc...all represent infinity, along with the idea that knitting is basically looping. )

a related thread

also now it makes a little more sense that for example he let neil barrett use cdiem lasts and let there be some styles of cdiem-lasted neil barrett boots.

^ yes, could be a mutation. or passage ? also in my eyes it overlaps car designs approach. some tuned specials with smoothed surface and lightweight body fitted with low profile tires and small overhangs.
and as you said in the other post, the theme we had seen in his previous works was alive. he just executed it to the hilt. the deletion of unnecessary parts ( unnecessary aesthetically for him of course ) such as seams - visible stitched lines, etc ( the details of the shirt in #568 are whited out in the pic, but that's the shirt that makes an experienced tailor scratch their head about the crazy construction which is possibly equivalent to sartorial harassment ). here he intensified the intention, the second skin theme. the pic below is from more than ten years ago. although it's linea's prototype, there seems to have been a starting point for this around there. a point to return to, but on a higher plane, as what he named avantindietro. he had been trying to create shoes and boots that looked akin to socks, as in second skin. we have got ballet flats, jika-tabi's, etc already. but his ideal had been something more constructed. this was what he hit through and after several projects of exploration.

so, here is what came from the english sphere, as I had predicted :P
letting this thread contain it for posterity now that I noticed it's not on the DSM site anymore.

from DSM, october, 2012
m_moriABC

Beginning with a chair on the roof, continuing throughout the building and travelling into the Basement cave, where a selection of shoes are displayed, m_moriABC is a project that has been created to "give meaning to the meaningless". The concept utilises retail areas that are not normally considered commercial selling spaces ensuring the shopping experience becomes diagonal and transversal. Many of the objects included in the installation come from a studio in Italy and they are tied together, metaphorically and literally, by threads that weave down the staircase to the Basement. The shoes have been made to the highest standard and are completely handmade by a very small group of craftsmen using only the finest materials. They come in three styles based around 3 lasts - A, B and C. These have all been engineered with unique precision, in a project that has spanned 5 years, and each month a new style will be released. Exclusive to DSM.
