Just coined the expression in another thread. What do you think?

I'm thinking we'll see it coming pretty soon. Here's why:

1. Think of the recent young doll models (Starting with Natalia, leading to Gemma, Lily, etc)
2. Then consider the fact that loli/goth fashion has been HUGE in Japan for some years
3. Think about Perry Ellis' pink ribbons and white lace dress, Marc by Marc Jacobs' kindergarten collection, Alexander McQueen's short girly Edwardian dresses(Edwardian is, btw, also going to be a huge trend, I think) and Viktor & Rolf's ribbons. There are probably more as well.
4. Put that together with the fact that we haven't seen this trend yet, and therefore it is bound to come eventually.
5. Also, I personally can really feel it. Think white linen bodices, cute ribbons, fluttery dresses, golden hearts, ankle socks. Very pretty.

I've always loved this look. It's so pretty girly.

I love that style and it's a huge part of my personal style, mostly because it fits me very well. I have a girlish body, thin with slender hips and a heartshaped face with porcelain skin, blue eyes and dark, semi-curly hair ... cherry-red lipgloss just fits me way better than bold neon eyeshadows, so the bralizian glamazon bombshell look doesn't work on me.

ElleGirl Germany had something about that a while ago, I'll scan it in.

still liking this... a lot of the stuff I've been wearing lately has been quite girlish - such as full skirts and blouses, and empire-waisted tops/dresses over jeans. it's a nice look for a petite body type...and a nice alternative for those of us who aren't comfortable with glamourous sexy styles but still want to be a bit flirty. I also find it stands out a lot from all the cutoff micro miniskirts and hippie looks out there.
