You seem to definitely have the knowledge of what goes on at Louis Vuitton , but if you were ever to launch your own line of accessories circa now. How do you suppose you will find the artistry to develop a hand made bag when in fact you will not have the funding to do so.
Because the things they call art are too expensive. Selling to the masses is the key, not making something so unobtainable that it makes it desirable to people who cannot afford it. Then we wonder why there is world hunger! Because there is poor circulation of capital, People are too busy spending on things they believe are luxury goods when in fact they are not.
I have experienced fashion and the ways fashion houses function and i choose not to indulge in that. I make bags for myself and anyone who may be interested, but i dont think I would ever launch a line of handbags, because of the sad way the market works, my own ethical dilemas with it and also because of inflation in manufacturing. The artistry is dying.
And with what you said in regards to Hermes, I agree. And that company understands that they can capitalize off of people with exorbant amounts of money, to create a piece of art, such as the Birkin, that IS unattainable to the masses.B)
