Louis Vuitton Spring/summer 2005

I think the collection is decent, not Marc's strongest work, but his men's work for his own line has been lagging lately too. The Damier teddy bear pin is rather cute, but very kitschy. I hate shorts on men, especialy the long ones in this collection, they look straight out of a mid-level mall store. I'm bored with it over all.

You know I was reading an interview with Marc Jacobs and he was discussing how he has very little to do with the men's collection. He gives feedback and oversees it but other than that it really isn't his collection.

It's all right, but for some reason, I can envision the teddy bears being snatched up, if they were to market those. LV has really gained a foothold in popular culture especially after the Murakami bags, so I can imagine some girl begging their mum to get them an LV teddy bear...

the teddybears are cute but i find the collection a tiny bit boring,
wish he used more colour, hope to see more looks posted
so i get a better idea

thanks for the topic guys :flower:

Agree that the Teddy Bear is cute... Much better than what he did the last S/S season where he put men in shorts...

At least this time he lengthen the pants!!!!!

Love the lightweight jersey henley look... Love the Preppy mood... and of cos LOVE the bags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree

this is by far the best of the uomo collections in terms of wearability. the look is classic preppyand i love it.

Perhaps I'm the only one, but I'm not a fan of the bears.

The collection is all right. Lots of crisp whites.

Hmmm... Is it me or is Mr Jacobs planning to have a special logo for LV homme???

Check out the 'V' details on the bags and stage...

It has the kind of underhanded heat that his signature collection did a few seasons ago...he's practically hitting you over the head with strong, masculine vulnerability, with sex...these are the kind of men from which you can never be too sure of everything, I love the threat the Anglo snobbery styling poses. You almost want to break him, just to see what's going on underneath, maybe that's the adventure this season for Vuitton. No real physical place, no compass, no desert but maybe something inside...
