Maggie Cheung

i saw Days of Being Wild yesterday  isn't she so beautiful in that, shame her part isn't bigger.

She was amazing in Days of Being Wild. It was her second movie with director Wong Kar-Wai and this first time she was lit and shot by Christopher Doyle, a cinematographer who must love her--and all the actresses who appear before his camera.

Heartbreaking and beautiful--she seemed so vulnerable at times in that movie...

nevermind ^ ^_^

I'll pick it up one day :D

I wonder if she ever worked as a model?

Not on the runway. When she first returned to Hong Kong from England she apparently did some local stuff before placing in the Miss Hong Kong contest in 1983. She was still in her "cute as a button chubby cheeks" look and, like a lot of pageant contestants in that part of the world (Michelle Yeoh, Michelle Reis, Joyce Godenzi, Valerie Chow:flower:--one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen) was tossed in front of the cameras almost immediately. Interestingly, the other Maggie Cheung (Maggie Cheung Ho Yee) won Miss HK in 1994. She is a very popular TVB actress.

That's the l-o-o-o-ng answer.

The short answer is "I don't think so, at least runway."

Two screen caps of Maggie

A couple of pictures of Maggie Cheung Man-Yuk that should be new to some of us:

The first is from the movie "Green Snake". That is Hong Kong actress Joey Wong holding the basket.

This one is a cap from "2046"

off topic...
Where is Joey Wong now? She used to be one of the most beautiful Asian actresses.

I love her dress at the Valentino party, very elegant and yet fitting with her style as opposed to her. Valentino is not really a label I think of when I think of Maggie but here she takes it and makes it her own. The neckline and corresponding details are very Art Deco. She looks so fresh.

thanks :flower: it's really not a fashion forward as she likes to dress but she must dress for the occassion ^_^

I wonder what her measurements are  her hips look so narrow!

 the dress. She looks gorgeous, she still looks young!

:ninja: look what she wore to Valentino Haute Couture AW07

Maggie looks breathtaking in the Valentino dress and even more beautiful on the Vogue China cover. :flower:

I love the pic with Tony Leung (do i like this actor).t's too bad i still haven't seen In The Mood For Love.Maggie is a great actress...

She looks great in Valentino and I love the jeans and jewelry for the Valentino HC.

i still haven't seen In The Mood For Love

You are in for such a treat! She wears high collared cheongsam in every scene--at least 31 different ones--I counted but can only be sure of that many, there may be more.

She and Tony Leung Chui Wai couldn't be better. It is one of my favorite movies of all time, on a par with "Casablanca" and "Umbrellas of Cherbourg".

OMG, In The Mood For Love and Umbrellas of Cherbourg are two of my faves, too!!! (Don't like Casablanca, though:ninja:)

Maggie is such a gem.
She's stylish, talented, graceful and she is one of the best actresses not only in asia, but in the world. I just don't see anyone star out there who is as well-rounded as she is.

i'd have to see another pic, but that outfit doesnt fit her well

It is a bit hard to tell but there seems to be a lot going on just below the waist under the jacket although the watermark is very effective at obscuring whatever I think I see.

From the looks of the crowd behind her it must have been quite cold in London last night.
