Male Model Walk

Well, from what I can tell from shows Ive seen online...

Straight body...no hunched back...
Bold steps...but not so bold that it looks like you're stomping down the runway..
Free-arms swinging back & forth..almost as if independent from the body..
Exagerrated "roll" to your foot when stepping..probably to bring attention to the shoe (who knows?)

Whatever relays the image of confidence..

Actually, even though I dont see him much here anymore, you might wanna ask Acid and the folks at o2w.com...Im sure they can give you a better answer..also, you can check online runway shows...I know burberry.com & johngalliano.com have their shows available online..

Hope this helps! :flower:

Hm, from what I've seen take everything you know about female model runway walks and forget it all. Now you've got a male model runway walk ^_^

Female models (or at least ones trained to walk) put one foot forward in-line with the center of their body, then take a step with their other foot doing exactly the same. As was already mentioned in the thread, a "cross-over". Men, however, just kind of walk with their legs straight in parellel with the body, but without placing their feet in the center. Just like a normal walk.

they walk normally .... but i once see a man doing the catwalk... it was horrible

Best Walkers;

Karl Lindmann
Gabriel Aubry
Lucas Kerr
Tim Lubbering
Andrew Copper
Nicholas Lemons
Matt Benstead
Vincent Lacrocq
Noah Mills
Tyson Ballou

Worst walks:

Danny Beauchamp: i find his walk too jerky and their is just too much arm movement. His walk reminds me of how Romina Lanaro walks . Anyways I love them both

Brad K: Too slow at times
Shaun Haugh: Same problem as above:rolleyes:

I didn't know male models had a perticular walk.. I find it so boring. zzzzzzzzzZzzZzz:neutral:

Best Male Model Walk

Who, in your opinion, has the best runway walk for a male model?

scott barnhil looks like he is giggling his leg in the air before every step

Jacob Coupe, unlike some new models who walk like they really don't want to do the shows.cough Josh Beech cough.

^ Yes I really love Jacob's walk! He actually puts some effort into his walk (and seems to enjoy it).

I think the guys who have that standard brawny walk look the best. Like the Dolce & Gabbana shows for example, most of the guys there actually 1.) look like men 2.) walk like men.
