Kyle Avila, a 24-year-old manager of the Bleecker Street Marc by Marc Jacobs store, was arrested at his Chelsea apartment for stealing $62,000 from the store.

The NY Post reports: " Fellow store manager Mike Okerson noticed the missing cash while doing a routine review of receipts, which recorded customer purchases for the first week of May. 'I've been stealing the money from the money drops. I have been doing it for a while,' Avila then told Okerson, according to court papers obtained by The Post. Okerson called the corporate offices and informed higher-ups about the theft. He then gave Avila until Sunday to return the cash, law-enforcement sources said. But Avila failed to show up with the money, so his colleague called the cops, the sources said. Avila, who is originally from Kansas, was arrested Monday at his West 28th Street apartment. He was arraigned yesterday and charged with grand larceny, according to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. Probers are investigating how Avila spent the money, the DA's office said. Avila remains in jail after failing to post the $2,000 cash bail set by the judge."
Avila posed nude for the Marc Jacobs series of T-shirt designs.

wow... thank god he got caught.. this happens everyday everywhere and people get away with it so GOOD!
and that bryan boy rubbish is really tasteless
if he was my employee he would have been put in jail just for those pics , trust me!

Just curious... who is Bryan Boy? Why should I know who he is? and why would this guy think he would bail him out if he holds up a sign that he loves him? Not trying to be snarky, just genuinely don't know/ don't get it. Side note, I stopped in the men, women, and accessories marc stores on bleeker today and all the sales associates seemed like snobby college students (probably they are). Like even though I had a question or wanted to ask to see some things I didn't because I just didn't feel comfortable asking them.

^Bryanboy is a member of TFS and has a popular fashion blog/website. Some of his readers send him pictures of themselves posing with homemade Bryanboy signs and he posts them on his site.:flower:

this says it all really...
he couldn't post $2,000 bail...

kinda sad...:(

$60k probably fed their Bolivian skiing hobby for a while...which would explain why there's none left for the bail. NYC is an expensive place.

Ok, thanks ptowngal (and model_mom, although I was still confused after your pm). I didn't know about that blog so his connection to this arrested employee was so puzzling, I even wondered if the arrested employee was a tFS member himself since he knew the name.
