i saw so many things in this show! DEFINITELY Prada Fall 2008 (with the tiniest bit of last season too), and also Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009, but all with some modern-day Balenciaga style.
I saw polka dotted military women, 1940's retro glamor, and Cruella Da Ville all in this collection.
That's what I love about Marc... he presents a heavenly collection, interpreted in many different ways, and gets people talking about it.

this collections is really....weird to me. I feel like I should love it, but I can`t... a Lot from here have been in prada spring summer 2011, prada fw 08 and dolce fw 09, and I hate that thing of comparing designers but it just... for me so uninspiring ... and please no more lace (it was everywhere the last two seasons). I hope it will grow on me after seen it in pictures.

Ha! The Manson is perfect, especially that song. What an amazing set/catwalk too. Wow. I like the 180 turn from last year's serene show to this intensity and hard-edged tailored clothes, hard edged music, set, columns, glass catwalk, etc. Savvy. Good for Marc. Rock on!

I see the what you guys are saying about Prada, but I don't really agree. To me, this seems like a Marc's greatest hits. I love it.

I absolutely love it. Super polished collection from Marc. It definitely looks like a "recent hits" kind of show...I see a lot of hints of his namesake Spring/Summer 2009, Fall/Winter 2009 and Fall/Winter 2008 collections, among others. Can't wait to see the pictures to get a better idea of each look.

And I love the runway and the soundtrack. The Manson track is perfect.

I dont see anything Prada here , Prada does not have a monopoly on 1940s skirt suits . Another thing this collection has all the Marc Jacob elements , you can see the chinioserie influnce from last season in the mandarin collars and lean dresses , and appliques , the stark futurism from his fall 2008 collection , I hope the LV collection is even better.

There's a huge difference. The tailoring, to begin with....I agree with others that this has a McQueen hint to it.
