Marc Jacobs S/S 07 NYC

I checked twice the pics...
and I'm discovering I don't like the hats...
if you take off the hats, I think I like the silhouette
they made the girls head too small...
and the makeup doesnt help either

i love the sparkly stuff... kind of a departure for marc... i feel in some looks he's trying to do his best bernard wilhelm

what was marc thinking doing dresses with toilet paper!!?!?
it's like those projects they put in university that you have to do a dress without using fabrics
marc can't be wasting his time doing that kind of things!! or at least he could do it more original! ...I hope marc by marc jacobs is better than some of this

but....
hey hey hey Hello sunglasses! :woot:

the third dress somewhat reminds me of the one Alison Kelly made on the episode she was voted off of Project Runway:lol:

thats funny you said that, i thought they exact same thing.

very intereting and unexpected.i thought he'd continue with his grunge theme, but he went in opposite direction nd did something so flowery and ivory and a lot of 1920's influenced.very wearable colletion,i love the blouses, skirts, eso coats in ivory.a copuple of pairs of great shoes.bags-i iddnt like the metallics.nd the set-just surreal,i feel like i'm in a dream world
A! good job marc!

I'm not sure how I feel yet. I love the colors, the pale, dusty shades punctuated with metallics. I also love those "shingle" pieces, I'm always drawn to dresses that use that technique. I like the loose sort of shapes that still maintain a sense of the form underneath,

I'm just not sure how I feel about the overall looks. It's very...fussy?

i really like what i see so far
im gonna disagree with most of you and say i absolutly love the metalics and the fussyness
:D

I think it's really interesting;

but what's up with those silvery-rainbow dots? They look like kindergarten stickers.

I see a dropped waist here...as I also saw it at Phillip Lim and a few times at DKNY...do we think this will become a trend?

i am really enjoy this as well. im not even a fan of marc- but this seems quite fresh. dare i say there is almost a comme des garconesque feeling to it all.

I like a good chunk of it. My only issue is the sloppiness, if the pieces were more put-togther Id love it. The tiering is SO DAMN DULL, Im so over it. And the bags are MEGA fug and very derivitave of other designers (namely Burberry and obviously Chanel)

It probly will be.

I think the drop waist thing makes the models look bigger.

i love it

i love the color palette

i dunno, something about it seems very serene and fluid.

A+: vibrant, decided & crazy. The gold flight jacket and ultra dramatic arms on Miss Karen are moments that will spawn a thousand future designers.

I am so disappointed right now.. maybe I'll look at the collection with a new eye tomorrow but I've always been a MJ fan and this feels like a bit of a let down. The first word that came to mind when I saw it was "cheap".... okay, granted, there are some nice pieces, and some bags look pretty darn good, but it feels as though something's missing. Or wrong.... idk.

And GOSH is that set fabulous! WOW!  That's my favourite part of the whole show
