Oof, my associate at BG just told me that they are taking preorders for prefall 2025 (the Kyoto collection) and sent me the whole look book.

I guess LVMH is really gauging the clients' interest to see if they need to produce this collection or not. Her reign is finally coming to an end.

Most likely for early termination of her contract and maybe a clause on her non-compete. Can’t see why there would be another reason?

The more I look at this, the more this looks like a wardrobe to some saccharine k/j-drama and the outfits of those insipid weibo influencers. No thoughts, just money and brands.

Fashion for simpletons. And if I’m being honest, some of this isn’t too dissimilar to some of JWs commercial shop floor items and prices he did for Uniqlo. How dare I utter such a thing, I know, but let’s be honest here a lot of what sells from JW (eponymous and Loewe combined) we’re some of the easier to digest pieces like this.

For the past maybe 7ish years, LVMH has been merchandising their fashion brands as if their customers are idiot babies unaware of fashion shows, and I’m willing to bet that’s why none of their brands have really changed the way people dress since Phoebe’s Celine.

Even Nicolas would have a runway item that would make it to the real world every season whether it was a bag, phone case, boot, etc. and then all of a sudden that stopped around then.

The most egregious of it for me is when they gave Karl’s final fendi collection maybe 3 weeks on the rack before eclipsing it with a Nicki Minaj capsule.

that ad is so corny, not funny. Rosamund Pike is a good actress but this is just so hard sell. The bag with that huge Christian Dior tag is so tacky, and some of their new oblique bags apparently has it splashed across the bag in front, as if it is not obvious enough it is a Dior?

She is suing LVMH because they have reportedly set JWA with his own DIOR Studio with out announcing her departure, which is a breach of her contract.
