^^That's why I love them. I remember in 2004, they used to wore leggings while it was totally unknown here. They have always been "avant-gardiste", they have always wore "hype things" before everyone. That's crazy!

I second that and this's one of the reasons (besides the fact that I really like 90% of what Ash wears and 60% of what MK wears) I tend to think twice before criticize anything they wear that I'm not crazy about, I don't want to eat my words 3 years later.
I Always find it really funny the fact that the people that tends to always put them down are the ones that, years later, are dressing just like they were before; and their memory is really short because they never remember who started the style.

i think the last set of candids with the fur coats and the sneakers it may be ashley.
i mean looking at the bag, the hair style, the hair length, the SHOES, the bare fingernails, no jewellery depicts that it's ashley...dunno

this year has been all about those bright velvet pants fashionwise in my memory when it comes to Ashley and all about black black black when it comes to MK tho all in all i think that it was actually MK who had better RC looks (and few very memorable candid looks unlike A) throughout the year, there has been little, if i'm not mistaken, of that minimalism Ash has been known for, she went a bit hobo i think.

this year it looks like while MK was all Black and black, Ashley was trying colors, fabrics and designs, and I've to agree that I miss the years before, 2010 was not the best for Ashley, but then again how many people do you know that go jogging in a shirt full of holes (I have better looking dusters) and wears a hairpin from Chanel?!

She started off well this year (Alexander McQueen gown and the blue Erdem dress were my favourites). From thereon, everything was hit-and-miss. I loved that floral maxi gown she wore. As for her candids, I liked the denim shorts outfit mainly because she wore those amazing Hermes sandals again and the monochrome outfit at the airport with Mary-Kate.

I don't think that the candid where she is wearing the skinny jeans and leopard Louboutin flats is from 2010, though.

I third that!
The Girls are a huge inspiration to me. Also I would not copy their style 1:1. I get my inspiration from them and turn it into my personal style.

yeah when the trend is around they keep on saying, sienna, kate moss, gossip girl or who ever wore it first. they never mention Mary-Kate or Ashley for being the ones that dress this or that way first.

It just seems like this year Ashley went for a more rich middle aged housewife look, she's been so inspiring in the past but has done nothing for me this year.
