The only scene I can still remember after many years.
the first HC show is still one of his best shows ever and really helped Dior to become modern...at minimum i can hope something like that for the new Chanel ....we all know the other dior raf years were meh!! or confusing mind circle j..rk offs

i share your truth , even if some places its less more of the typical things you find at any office type stuff and at most places its unacceptable behaviors on many levels how people are dealing with each other and all the dirty games from top management to HR to Managers and directors and creative directors etc are pitting lower placed staff against each other with games and lies and mistreatment etc

some friends i just avoid to ask them how its going to just not hear another crazy new story or issue that happened.

how much of greed, animosity, competition and spite and pollution etc should go into production of clothes and acc and image for people to dream and love or be inspired by or buy into....its a odd this ......

for a business that creates beauty why is there so much ugliness behind it i often ask myself
I think it’s like that everywhere though… it’s human nature. People are terrible, and if you consider that 90% of the population is not very smart, there you have it. They don’t even make an effort and sometimes don’t even think what they are doing is bad.

Also, fashion is full of “neglected” people that were never successful socially and that didn’t fit in. That creates lot of trauma and ugly behaviors…

Nevertheless, I met worse people in design than in management.

Yeah, this is so true. Most people are awful and dumb. I don't work in fashion, but I see the same things. It's human nature, with the creative industries being especially driven by emotion, ego, and status.

Fashion is also one of the few industry where from the creative stand point, there’s almost no separation between life and work.
A lot of people involved in the creative field of fashion have been obsessed about it since their childhood. It’s a life of passion but also hardwork, it’s a life where your personal interest outside of your day to day work somehow can have an impact on your work.

So there’s something very intense in the design teams that you don’t find elsewhere.

I don’t know if it’s still the case but there was also the same kind of vibe in the advertising world. The creatives in that world lived a very intense lifestyle and their industry was as competitive as fashion.

And while fashion has that thing between idea and skills, in that world, you are almost as good as your last idea.

There’s a kind of pragmatism in management that makes the whole thing less « deep ».

Tbh, I was like that as well, having a passion for fashion since I was like 0 and I basically think about it 24h out of 24, but that never made me a b!tch with people. In fashion most of the people working are gay guys with big traumas in their backs (which is normal), but most of them didn’t know how to manage their frustrations and pay it with the people around… I see that a lot. People that were bullied, once they feel “respected” they can be the worst human beings ever. Out of their fields they are still that bullied kid though…

In management many people are straight, fashion is just a job for them, they dont really care about it, they have other issues… although sometimes there are, like everywhere, very silly people with lots of ambition, and someone silly with ambition is a terrible combo as well.
