As the men’s shows approach, the London Collections: Men (which will run from June 16 to 18) seems to be gaining more steam. Today, Dolce & Gabbana announced that it will open its fourth London boutique with a bash on June 15. Additionally, after being invited to kick off the season by London Collections: Men chair and British GQ editor in chief Dylan Jones, the brand will show its Spring ’14 tailoring collection during the event. Dolce & Gabbana, whose designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana noted in a statement that British tailoring is part of the house’s DNA, join high-profile names such as Burberry Prorsum, Rag & Bone, Paul Smith, and Jimmy Choo in presenting in London for the first time this season

HIGH LINE: Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, who are returning to the Paris couture schedule after a 13-year absence, are giving their full attention to the high fashion show, scheduled for July 3.

Consequently, the Dutch design duo will not stage a runway show during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris, which runs from June 26 to 30. The designers’ spring 2014 men’s collection will instead be presented by appointment in their Avenue d'Iéna showroom from June 29 through July 7.

TAKING A SEASON OUT: Don’t look for the Moschino show in Milan on your calendar this season. On June 13, the brand’s men’s wear collection will show in Shanghai for the first time as part of a large-scale catwalk event where the new women’s resort lineup and an archival medley will also be presented. “This is an exceptional decision. We decided that since we were showing the men’s collection in Shanghai, there was no point in showing it again in Milan a few days later,” a spokesman for Aeffe, Moschino’s parent company, explained. He added that Moschino was in no way snubbing Milan Fashion Week and would certainly continue to show its collections there in the future.

MAN ON THE MOVE: Look who’s joining men’s fashion week in Paris: Haider Ackermann. The Antwerp, Belgium-based designer, who won acclaim for a one-season foray into men’s wear in 2010, is to present what he’s calling a “men wardrobe” for spring 2014 on June 26. Details about the presentation format could not immediately be learned.

Ackermann unveiled his first men’s designs during a coed runway show at Pitti W in Florence, and the collection was immediately picked up by a small group of international retailers, including Barneys New York. The Colombian-born talent founded his label in 2001 and is known for sensual draping and nomadic silhouettes.
