Men's Fragrance / Cologne

I think I'll try Le Male de L'ete, then after summer pick something else. Thanks for the ideas!

YSL M7 will turn any frog to a prince.
& it has a great bath line too, try the soap, u'd like to bite it.

it is true gucci rush & ck crave are discontiued, love them both , not fair :(

gucci ph, ysl rive qauche ph & body kouros have relaxing & sensual propereties.

love kouros eau de sport cologne too which reminds me of my honeymoon on royal carribean cruise, fresh & sexy.

YSL nu edp is lovely for the coldest & darkest nights.

all those are a must have items for me every year, can't do without them.

I like Burberry for men, it has soft smell, or pleasure from Estee Lauder. The little strong but fresh is Dolce Gabana.

I think Chanel Allure for men is the best.

My man's pillow smells like it so when he leaves for work I end up hugging his pillow.

forget to add EGOISTE by CHANEL, the one with black cap not the platiume silver cap, it is an amazing lush of cinnamon. for me it is the muscelan version of DK black cashmere.

L'Instant de Guerlaine is great for formal events & office meetings it has such a respectful presense.

CdG2 is lovly too.

KENZO AIR will be ideal for the coming summer days, so tender & cooling without adding the citrus annoying stuff.

My personal favorites are:

Eternity for Men : Calvin Klein
Tommy: Tommy Hilfiger
Bora Bora: Liz Claiborne

A lot of people have never heard of Bora Bora by LC, but it is one of my favorite scents; people constantly ask what cologne I am wearing and compliment me on the different/exotic blends of spices it uses.

Check it out for sure...

Ciao
Jason

the ubiquitous l'eau d'issey pour homme is very good.

I'll bring this thread back to life since no one has mentioned my favorites:

Burberry Touch - A good medium-weight all-purpose scent. Assertive, but not aggressive. It's a very good harmony and it smells great on me...surprisingly balanced for something that has musk, violet, and pepper notes. My ex-girlfriend was mad for it.

Comme des Garcons Kyoto (Series 3: Incense) - A mixture of Japanese temple incense, the cedar and cypress smells of a tree-shaded hot spring, and a gently urbane airiness. The most wearable incense scent I've ever encountered, this is an everyday favorite. Light enough for casual wear, but elegant enough to add panache to formal attire. The ex's second favorite.

Penhaligon's Castile - I love this because it's very fresh and clean smelling, without smelling "sporty". So many so-called "fresh" scents smell like sports deodorant or Irish Spring soap to me, but this is a more refined "suave gentleman fresh out of the bath" scent.

Comme des Garcons 2 / Comme des Garcons 2 MAN - I use them both. The original 2 is more floral on top...it's unisex, but unisex in a sort of European way many American men won't appreciate. The way it evolves is extraordinary, though. So complex. Meanwhile, the MAN variation is more smoky than floral, but with a similar complexity at the heart of it. Sometimes it reminds me faintly of the smell of burning fall leaves.

Comme des Garcons Avignon (Series 3: Incense) - Recreates with astonishing accuracy the scent of burning censers in a vast stone cathedral. It's "high church" in a bottle. Definitely not for everyday wear, but one of my favorite formal scents. This and my vintage 1930's tailcoat make an exquisite pair.

Penhaligon's Hammam Bouquet - A Penhaligon's classic from 1872. Very rosy and Victorian. Brave and flamboyant, but in an elegant, almost royal way. Something to wear for a well-dressed night out on the town.

Comme des Garcons Skai (Series 6: Synthetic) - Hints of grapefruit, leather, sandalwood, burnt paper, and vinyl, but the overall smell just makes me feel like the absolute personification of "sex" the instant I put it on. This is an unusual scent, but wearing it actually instills the confidence to pull it off. I'm a bit of a shy boy in public, but wearing this makes me do things I normally wouldn't do. :innocent:

Comme des Garcons Soda (Series 6: Synthetic) - Great summer scent. Light and fizzy...lots of citrus and ginger, with a subtle masculine undercurrent of rum. It smells a bit like lemon-scented furniture polish when you first put it on, but don't be put off. Give it 20 minutes and it dries down into something much more balanced. I've tried a few of the classic lime scents, including Penhaligon's Extract of Limes, and this is a refreshing modern update.

Cologne for Guys -What works for you?

It's kind of an accsserory, anyhow I'm looking for a Cologne that doesn't make everyone hold their breath while in the elevator - know what I mean  ?

Eau de Cartier, people love it, like Ive had women (unfortunately) come up, random women, and compliment me on it. It's very light and smells lovely.

May sound a bit too hippie but

Essential oil of vetiver gives me shivers -- as does sandalwood.
