Menswear Catwalk Trends S/S 07

baggy baggy pants. which i DESPISE. ugh. show after show after show just sends out these loose-fitting, unflattering pants. don't like it at ALL.
I actually love baggy trousers. I really think that, while skinny pants may have their place, looser ones really anchor the outfit so it doesn't look top heavy.
Anyway, on the trends, I'm seeing some really nice sheer outerwear.

baggy pants look the best on guys , i have seen some guys rock skinny pants but those guys were really skinny . On the 96% of men , normal or baggy pants look best. Also mens fashion for many seasons has been narrow , so it was just a matter of time before they reverted back to wider leg pants.

Hum ... so far I see that there two "moods":
minimal vs romantic

Minimal clean clean lines .. you see it on the coats and the volume and the cut. Solid colors. (Burberry, Prada, Jil)

Romantic a little more embellishments, emphasizing on textures and infusing -pastel- colors. Lots of prints! (Cdg, McQueen, ...)

apparently we will only be wearing baggy trousers or hot pants next spring, nothing in between. seriously though, I don't quite get what a man is supposed to do with any of those short-shorts, they just do not suit the male anatomy.

Hmm, the names are all wrong nut for some reason i can't edit  .

I love the suits!
Im not too sure how well the shorts will catch on though

I think there are two "camps" at the moment. The loud one (plastic, silver, gold, shines, sport), and the calm one (grey, grey, grey or earth hues). I think men fashion rarely is polarized like this season.

Overall.............Im not that impressed with much that I've seen for this season.

i cant remember what trend i noticed a few days ago, could it have been gold?

gold is at CDG. anyway all the trends are the same this season than last season...shorts, safari etc.

i am definitely not a fan of the *POW* lines -- you know, the loud ones that are all bright or flashy, gold, etc etc.

BUT, i definitely wish there was a little more colour involved in the classic lines. grey is nice, but so is chocolate, or peach, or light pastel colour.

cropped, or even some rolled up pants get my yei!

esp those Ann Dem pants..!!!

Yes, I love the Ann dem pants as well! I cropped a pair of mine like her S/S 06 and they get lots of wear. Just masculine enough to not get yelled at B)

I'm surprised that no mention of the grey and dark grey outfits that covered the runway haven't been mentioned. I've been wearin it with black/white for a long time, it's about time that it caught on!
