I've seen a couple of NY designers doing it and i sense it will only go stronger in the next cities.
I personally think it looks like fun for now and it's a refreshing take for those who like vests but are afraid of looking too...generic, with the amount of tiny vests on the streets. ^_^

what are your thoughts on this? :magic:

Ohh I really, really like this, thank you so much for posting mullet
:woot:

I definitely am on the lookout for more pics and a vest on my own. ^_^

I'm at the shows in NYC and the trend continues to be the waist-less style.

A lovely way for every woman to look younger.

But the color and accessories must match the age you want to project or it can get too sweet.

Trends I've seen so far:

Skinny pants (not jeans)
Chunky boots that are a bit higher than ankle
Silver
Minimalism
Color palette: taupe, white, black, navy blue, eggplant, red, muted shades of cream...
Bows
White shoes
Flowers
Sheer fabrics
Bold prints
Daytime short lenght dresses
Medium sized buttons in contrasting (with fabric) colors
Bangs
Heavy eyeliner contour
Lightweight makeup with clear skin and bright lips
Soft silky hair worn down
White dress-shirts
Slightly baggy straight cut pants
Waist lines that hit above waist
Bag straps worn across the chest
Skinny belts worn over tops/dresses and above waist
Puffy sleeves
Mini skirts/shorts that are not too mini (if that makes any sense) and that are slightly flowing at the bottom
Trench coats in classic cuts
Sandals in nude colors
Puffy/tulip shaped skirts

A couple things I've noticed:

Acid green, beige, khaki, yellow.

Cuts/colors/textures that almost seem more appropriate for fall. (Very curious in light of global warming).

Louise Brooks bobs and cropped hair.

Waist packs (many Americans call 'em fanny packs, but I understand that sounds rude to our British counterparts  ).

i'm digging it, mullet :p i was thinking the other day how it's nearly impossible for me to pick up on this kinda thing...kudos to your wonderful trend-spotting eye :flower:

Voluminous S/S 07

Clothes which are having great volume, fullness or size will be trendy again :flower: .
