so Jun, is Kate's the large, or the small (if small exists)? Because if it's the large than there is a really significant difference between the large and the overniter.

yes, i agree with roey. i think kates is the large.

there's a small, a large, and the overniter/weekend (so technically speaking the large is the medium size of the three)

if you comparekates with the gold one on the last page, you can see the size comparison is about the same.

i think the small is similar to the LV speedy 25, the large is like the speedy 30, and the overniter is maybe like a 35 duffle (in louis vuitton terms)

Jun3 - Can't wait to see your pics. I was falling in love with this bag year ago when I first saw Kate's pictures with it. Love the leather and the luggage color. Was trying to get large size but end up didn't get it.

i was the same way with the bag, i wanted one when i saw one about a year or so ago. i thought, "wow, thats a cute bag...and a practical size....and is simple but chic" and then i pursued other bags....because they were selling well above retail on ebay, and i didn't have a shop near me, and didn't even think about the possibility of mail order or that stores sell all this stuff online. OH how much i have learned!!!

But i have been needing a large carryall for quite a while, since i sold my lesportsac LAMB duffle, because they got all trendy all of a sudden and it made me not want to carry my bags (plus i made quite a nice profit, like quadrupal retail when i sold them) and nylon, while sturdy, does not last as long as, say, leather.

so i should get this tomorrow....so depending if i hang around for my mailman, i should have pics up either really late monday or tuesday i cant wait, because i know with all the crap i have to carry around with my art, this is going to be perfect!

I just got a medium Astor. I really like it but I am not sure if I should keep it because I am so used to big bags, and this one seems a bit small for all my stuff.

so is that the so called large?? 14" across??? hmmm....where'd you get it from (if you dont mind my asking) maybe, if it was a dept. store, you could have them do a search for the larger size.....im trying to figure out where to get them besides ebay....

The leather is gorgeous, and I guess that's the main reason I got it. The size is about 11 by 8. I got it at a local Dillards, on sale of course.
Oh, I also saw nordstrom website has the big one.

The reason we are seeing so many overnighters on ebay is because Nordstrom.com had the bag on sale for $298 (half price) and it sold out. The large is still available for $298 (original retail). And Jun is correct that the large (Kate's bag) is similiar in size to the LV Speedy 30 (cause I own both bags and compared ).

The only thing one should know is the leather on this bag scratches - that is, if you graze a nail on it a scratch will form. They rub out easily with a finger and occassionally I will go over mine with Appleguard Leather care. Other than that, it is a great bag!

hey thanks for the information roey!!! but i haven't seen barely any of these one ebay, just the large size. over the past two months i've only seen a few, and the most ever were the two this week. too bad i dont have a nordstroms anywhere near here....coulda' saved about $100....oh well.

im just happy to finally be able to get my paws on one of these! im thinking this bag will distress pretty well, (especially after your report) i kinda like that vintage distressed leather look.....

I had seen Kate with this bag (& LOVED it) but didn't realize it was the same bag as the one in those Lindsay pics. I guess the different size threw me off and also the fact that the small seems more structured.
I want the size down from the overnighter. Most of the ones I've seen on eBay in that size only ship within the US when I'd need it shipped to Australia. I'll be keeping an eye out though.

i bet if you asked, they'd ship internationally....it costs a bit more, but they could just charge you the shipping costs....could you order one from nordstroms? i know they have the size you're after as well as macys....good luck!
