Sorry, but I really didn't follow. So now there are 3 kinds of iPods? The iPod Shuffle (around 100$), the regular iPod (around 200$+), and the mini iPod (200$).

I certainly will not pay for the regular since it is too expensive, but the mini and the Shuffle, are they worth it? And which one is better (and I don't care for the design since I think both are cute)?

I have the mini and I think it's def. worth it. Although the shuffle seems great too, I just don't get how you're supposed to find the right song without a display, (it doesn't have one, does it?). And also I like the games on the mini.

But it depends on how many songs you have, my mini isn't even full and I have the one with 4GB.

the new Mini's are 6GB, the old, 4GB. so 50% more music on the new one. I think the colours are brighter on the new ones as well.

You can buy the new ones with 4GB too. I think the BIG difference is that the new battery lasts 10 hours more than the old (18 h).

They really should work on the sound quality of iPods rather than the amount of storage, if a song has any bass the earphones just vibrate... If the iPod Mini hadn't been so cute I doubt I would've bought it. It's just a cute accessory, but definately not as good as the other mp3 players/MDs I've had, actually quite a disappointment.

I don't know about the mini's, but with my old iPod I thought the sound quality was awful until I bought better earbud headphones (Sony, $25). Then it sounded great. I think they just give crappy headphones with the iPod (plus I personally don't like the white). try it with better headphones and I'm sure that problem with the base will be better.

I just bought a new pink one...I dont know why it doesnt work with my laptop... I tried to install the first time but it didnt work so I format it agian...and always makes my computer frozen =( I dont know how to transfer music using Itunes

You're not wrong kimkhuu, Apple has reduced the prices of the iPods. Im not sure why though.

If you have an Apple then it may be because you do not have the latest version of MacOSX. The new minis will only work on that program.

Normally, I'd never consider buying one.. but my boyfriend knows someone that works at Best Buy.. and I think I can get one for a little over 100. I'd definitely get the Best buy insurance though.
