"Mischa Barton Hates Being Beautiful"

You guys she really does have a valid point here. I mean nevermind that there are people all over the world who have to experience war, starvation, and disease daily...at least they've never had to experience the agony of being beautiful. Hang in there Mischa. Maybe someday things will get better.

She's 19...and her boyfriend isn't 30, as far as I know...I thought he was in his mid-twenties???

Wha's so amazing about this chick? She looks like practically every other girl on TV. Generically pretty, slim, straight, neutral-color hair, regular features.

Too bad somebody wouldn't tell her that. She has no idea she's ordinary. Too bad she wouldn't audition for American Idol, Simon would set her straight.

I didn't know she was that young. I thought she was in her early 20's or something. Anyhow, she does nothing for me at all. I don't really get her appeal.

i think she's got a point. i do find her pretty, and her figures okay too. but she's right, if there's a thin actress/singer/whatever, they're labelled as drug addicts or anorexics, without any proof. although, i also think she worded it a bit wrong. maybe she should have said something like "thin and pretty people" instead of "thin and pretty me". it doesnt make me like her lots.

x

I am not a MIscha fan BUT think she has a point and she was just making a comment on herself, which doesn't mean she's careless about others. I mean, if somebody asked you "how do you think about being pretty" would you answer "Oh forget that and the point of the entire interview, let's talk about the millions of people dying everyday". And even if you did, do you think the magazine would publish that? (To answer your question: No they wouldn't).

Come on...

On a lighter note, this reminds me of one of Kate Moss's most famous quotes "I do get lots of sh*t from jealous fat women"

What a load of sh*t. You're telling me she'd rather be a hag? I don't even consider her "beautiful"...

Psssh. What a naive little girl :)

I agree with MissP, if someone's doing an interview with you you're not going to start talking about all the people that are dying in the world so that you don't look egoistic.

OMG, I missed this the first time around. That is so f**king funny!!!!!!!!!

Agree with MissP. Did she ever say that she doesn't care about poverty etc?We all have our personal trivial luxury problems. That's perfectly normal, and we can still care about world starvation. Not that I really know if Mischa does, but oh well. (And I can't say I do that much to solve those problems either.) B)

Oh gosh Mischa, if you actually were pretty, I'd respond to that.

You must think shes pretty because you responded.

She doesn't have to use interview time to talk about the plight of the poor. She also really doesn't have to act like an arrogant brat by complaining about the hardship of her beauty.

Well, maybe she shouldn't do interviews at all? ^_^ ;)

Neither did Audrey Hepburn, but that's a whole other dimension.
