Miu Miu F/W 07.08 Paris

Interesting. It's like abstract 70's. There are some unforgivably hideous pieces here, but I actually find a lot of it pretty wearable, provided you know what to pair it with. I like it much, much better than Prada, too. I'm not head-over-heels in love, but I'm going to tentatively say I'd rank it somewhere in my top 10.

Not a fan of some of the shoes, though. The ones with the ruffles in front make the models with pin-thin ankles look like they have cankles :ninja: The others are very cute, though.

Some of the dresses are :crush:... I would love to have some of these immediately... This is a very pleasant surprise after the last horrendous collection...:ninja::wub:

i'm quite disapointed as well.
i dont like the baggy nature of some of the clothes.
is it just me or the lighting terrible in these photos?
i dont see any "it" bags. one or two of the bags might be nice, but nothing we havent seen before.

gius, I find myself posting as the contrarian this season for most collections too, :p , I have no idea why....genuinely puzzled. Love the stuff that most hate, eg. Prada, Chloe, and hate the collections that most love, Galliano, Dior, Nina Ricci, MiuMiu, etc. In all, the entire season for me has been a huge disappointment, with the exception of Hussein Chalayan. Good for me I won't be spending heaps of money to update the wardrobe. Maybe my judgement is seriously wrong this time round.
wow i liked those collections too:p I just can't understand the the reason in making usual clothes or buying ordinary designer clothes (unless the textile is something special). I hope we are not the only minorities lol

mulletproof kuba01 i'm also one to wait for the HQ ;)

The style photos are atrocious!

Like I've reiterated before, the colouring of the photos is completely unbalanced. This is especially resonant in the Miu Miu photos, where the pieces that are in fact hot pink appear crimson red, and the lighting on the models' faces have a ghastly coral tone to it as well. -_-

the colours and fabrics are the best part of this....
they are so luxurious and expensive looking...
i dont know about the fit on some of the pieces....

i love the contrast between the very heavy fabrics...
and those really light fabrics that look like they'd melt in your mouth...
very very nice...

i LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED this show
when the girls in the transparent skirts walked the fabric kinda gathered into lines and it looked AMAZING
it was just WOW WOW WOW, but the show was really short, it was over in under 10 minutes

mrs prada always leaves us wanting MORE!

As a huge Miu Miu-fan, i'm a little disappointed, but it's not bad at all. Just had bigger hopes.

I completely, 100% agree with you there.

However, I am totally in love with the shoes!

i actually loved the shoes with the ruffles. I think they are amazing. This one piece i fell in love with. Not very wintery though...

I like that on the runway but not IRL. How do you wear it? if it's just tucked in I dont think that would look that great but I cant htink of any other way. And you can do that with any cadigan, no need to pay for the underwwear part. Not very tractical..

well i think is very wearable, i know alot of girls who wear that kind of socks and hot pants like that aswell, i actually really love it, isnt really a piece for fall or winter though, but it could actually work for a night of spring.
