I like when a girl like Abbey is cast and closes a show vs having her randomly in the middle of the show. Like Prabal Gurung having Anne 3rd with Nyanderi opening.

The strangest thing is Lulu's absence from all the shows where she usually was present, she used to open and close Ulla Johnson's show

Sascha and Betsy seem to be the new NYC Darlings. They’ve walked every big show in the city so far. Even some not big shows.

Mary Ukech has done many shows for example, although not among the biggest. She seems like a very nice girl and I'm sorry that Piergiorgio turned his back on her

How models can be huge one season to walking these b list at best shows confuses me. It especially happens with these black girls.

Look at not only Mary, but Nyaduola. Maybe Laura Reyes too.

Nyaduola walked so many top show in FW24 to barely any now.

Coumba and Ajus are definitely the new top black girls, but there should be room for more. I wonder how long until they fade.

I noticed this years ago with girls like Malaika Firth, Nyasha Matonhodze, and Marihenny Pasible. It still boggles my mind how Malaika can be the first black model to score a Prada campaign since Naomi, went on to be a Valentino and Burberry fave, top magazines, and then poof dropped 2-3 seasons later.

Lulu & Stella will almost positively be fine come Europe. I thought Mona was going to be a no-show until Khaite, so one could say she’s off to a slow NYFW start too - Alex also hasn’t shown up anywhere but MJ yet. Seems like Anok & Vitto are both skipping…?

Also a bit amazed Ida’s also only done MJ & Khaite so far.

NYFW is pretty dead right now, so opting for quality over quantity hardly strikes me as a bad strategy for top girls.

I wonder if Ashley will have any “good” debuts at Coach since she lost out on Proenza this season and CK wasn’t fun with newbies. And Tory Burch is never debuts, just seasoned girls with some randoms.

This NYFW was so bad I couldn’t even find one new face I liked as there were so few.

Though I was happy to see Ava Shipp, Anna Robinson, Camille Desjardins, Viktoria Wirs, Carol Montero who I think were good new faces last season actually walking this season. Summer Dirx to some degree as well, but not as good shows.

I don't know why you guys are speculating so much on NYFW castings honestly, NYFW is basically dead and no one is interested in those brands.
LFW is dead too and MFW would be dead if it wasn't for Prada and the newly revamped Dolce & Gabbana.

NY at least has some good shows.

London though is a complete wasteland. I don’t know why it even happens anymore. Other than Burberry it doesn’t offer much.
