I correct myself, Vittoria apparently skipped fashion week (or at least the one in Milan). The Versace casting was better than the last show in September in my opinion

Whoever did the casting for Elisabetta Franchi really said "Fvck you PGDM!": Hana Soukopova opening, Elise Crombez, Isabeli closing...and whoever did the casting probably got less than 1/10 of the budget of any PGDM show. Also, again, Vanessa Moody relegated to Z list shows while the most unprofessional model ever Selena Forrest is still doing Versace, make it stop please!

I have so many questions about that Versace show. From that khia parade of a lineup to the wobbly horse stomping to the flat and limpy hair. It was so bad that it was fun to watch.

Whose decision was it to cast unknown faces? Was it in-house? Donatella's? Or did the casting director have free reign over the model lineup? If it's the latter then Piergiorgio probably thinks he's the second coming of Russell Marsh/Ashley Brokaw. LOL. It's not the Prada superstar career making moment that he thinks it is. He can cast all the shows but he just doesn't have the eye for it. Most of the big models today were launched by Ashley anyway.

Nice to see Lexi and Lulu though.

I hate that there’s so much Selena F. hate. I have throughly enjoyed her career as a model. She’s gorgeous and seems to be a very down to earth, homegrown girl.

Versace is always PGM's worst cast. Lifeless just like the current designs. I also don't understand the need to use this particular show as an attempted launchpad for exclusives given that the brand's allure is on the wane. Although I will say it seems to have worked in Sandra Murray's favour. And Loli & Mona always the last two girls in DM's lineups. At least it's the latter closing these days and not the former.

We seem to be moving back to that awfully fast paced 2009 - 2013 era where new faces don't even last longer than one season. It seems there's such a high turnover rate and it's so difficult to predict who will last. Or perhaps there's just a distinction between print and runway now for many girls? All the casting directors are guilty of it. And I thought we'd not just binned Russell Marsh in the trash over a decade ago but his unsavoury approach, but I guess this industry hasn't really changed its shady ways that much .

I am still shocked Viktoria Wirs and Esther Santos basically vanished. Thought they had what it took to stick around, especially Viktoria!
