What happened to Addison Soens? Two seasons ago, she was everywhere on the Milan runways. Doesn't seem like she did a single show there this season.

Claire Biegalski was a standout for me at Prada. Such a gorgeous, lion-esque face that will look divine in editorial. Hoping we see her again in Paris in at least 1-2 more major shows unless Prada was an exclusive.

Really sad that Ryleabeth hasn't had the follow up season I was expecting. She has this ethereal vampire energy to her that I was hoping CDs would be obsessed with. Maybe something personal happened and she'll come back swinging in the fall? Or an exclusive in Paris?

On the other hand, Ava Shipp is having a great second season. Major shows, good placements, and a repeat at Prada is always a good sign for longevity. If she keeps up at Paris I can see her getting the campaign again. Definitely a future Hot Lister.

Laura Savy is one that I feel like has flown under the radar a bit but what a beautiful face. Love the attitude in her face and walk. Reminds me of Selena but a bit more feminine.

I don’t get Penelope either. She’s a fellow green eyed German too, but that system cover kinda did her in for me 🫣

On Ryleabeth I see she is in Paris, so hopefully she will be at something! Though I don’t expect huge bookings sadly.

My personal theory is that Vittoria would like to skip FW fashion month, but I think she can't do it because of the Chanel beauty contract. For this reason, she skips Milan and having to necessarily go to Paris she does all the shows there. As you say, it's her formula since last year, two years ago she also did Milan in the FW.

I randomly remembered Achenrin... wth happened to her? She was on a career high with multiple jobs by Meisel being released, and then everything stopped during SS23 shows. Sherry Shi who was one of the top walkers 2 years ago has disappeared as well.

^ Sherry was on the bloody cover of US Vogue! Her moment did however seem to pass by in a flash.

I also miss Achenrin, not to mention Nyawurh Chuol. Both were as close as you can get to Meisel girls in the current era and both discarded within a very short time frame. I guess it's down to casting directors losing interest and the ever increasing turnover rate of new models. I do also think there's still a degree of racism in the industry; look at how similar a lot of the top black models and East Asian models look (e.g. there are so many Sudanese girls modelled after Alek's look and as beautiful as they are, PGM and Ashley etc. often replace one with another). What that means is the non white girls are still often treated as disposable. Of course you still have your Addison Soens at the other end of the spectrum.

Even though she's still around I'll be forever pissed Aymeline hasn't become THE defining model of her generation she richly deserves.
