Whoa. I'll always, like always, love some Aymeline moment. Even if it's for opening some show that is literally an old brand brought back to life for financial matters. Where Aymeline goes, my eyes follow.

She will always be my standout, my very own stand-out.

Back to my blogging days, recalling the moment I asked her agent in Milan for some digitals (or so-called, so-back-then 'polaroids'). Got them in my e-mail inbox with that mention : "but why her?, she's just doing some C-list commercial swimsuit jobs here".

Even though she's still around I'll be forever pissed Aymeline hasn't become THE defining model of her generation she richly deserves.

100% this.

Aymeline to me is Lexi Boling done right. Very similar looks. Very strong and sharp features. Normally I'm a fan of Lexi's work and her body is to die for but Aymeline is right up there with Saskia and Iselin in terms of print.

I do also think there's still a degree of racism in the industry; look at how similar a lot of the top black models and East Asian models look (e.g. there are so many Sudanese girls modelled after Alek's look and as beautiful as they are, PGM and Ashley etc. often replace one with another).

I completely agree with you. Majda John Peter, for example, went from Hot List and big shows to a terrible current season. So sad.

Marine Deleeuw and Lena Hardt at Acne wooooooaahhh

Kris Grikaite is in Paris right now and looking great. I can see her booking a few shows such as Chloe.

Kris walked for Casablanca. The lighting at the show didn’t do her many favors though.


Tilda Lindstam, Marine Deleeuw, and Stella Lucia walked for Acne.

I love how indie / smaller brands put PGDM to shame with their casting: during couture it was Vauthier that oblitered that boring Schiaparelli casting and now we have Acne eating up Paris!

I also miss Achenrin, not to mention Nyawurh Chuol. Both were as close as you can get to Meisel girls in the current era and both discarded within a very short time frame. I guess it's down to casting directors losing interest and the ever increasing turnover rate of new models.

Happy to report Nyawurh was not discarded - just on a break (for mental health, I believe)! Our Meisel girl will hopefully be back soon!

Tom Ford breathed life back into me. Not just the casting but the clothes, the hair/makeup, the ambiance...so damn good.

And of course, Tom Ford was...PGDM

At least, there's credit to be given for the variation of cast in the three shows from today. But at this point it might also depend on which assistant at his company is helping which show...

Wow, I would have never guessed Acne was PGDM since he has been quite formulaic and acting on autopilot for so many years now.
When I see more than 5 girls from early 2010's I tend not to Associate the cast to PGDM!
