Model Casting F/W 2025.26

Okay okay I have to say this. Libby’s walk is really bad, but! I see that a lot of people in the industry are sharing videos of her on the runway and getting excited about her walk, so I guess that’s motivating her.
There have been shows where she walked much better. Right now, it seems like she’s getting positive feedback, so she’s continuing.
She looks like a lovely person, and her editorials are great! I hope the right person comes along and tells her to stop with that kind of walk lol
I’m excited about her future :)
Libby is good in print. I’ll give her that. But that walk… Guuurl!

Libby’s closing walk at Sean McGirr’s debut show will always astound me. Granted, that look was restraining, but she blew me away with that tin man/robogirl walk.

And I adore Olivia Palermo, she’s such a standout in every show she’s part of. Such a strong face and presence. I wish she would do more 💔
Same here. I was already quite thrilled with her editorial work but must say she also rocks the runway. For some odd reason, she just makes me think of those summer afternoons right before the storm (I know I'm odd, I know  ).

Jaqui gives me very 2004 vibes as a model.Probably the best new face of this season.
Agree, she really stands out for my eyes too. Just can't forget her looks from the first pics I saw. Can't say if she reminds me of the mid-2000's era or anything but she's not one of those whose appearances leave me cold. She's got that some-lil-thing that makes her work special.

Alex Consani is doing big shows after won ''model of the year''.. Last year she walked in a lot of B-list shows like Diesel and others.. Now she booked Alaia, Fendi, Schiaparelli...

I used to speculate whether casting directors thought it would be distracting casting her because she’s a figure in her own right who can be quite irreverent in the content she posts online. I think she’s hilarious, but I can see how her filming herself backstage goofing in the make-up chair could raise some eyebrows.

I actually like Michele's casting choices. It's always girls that fit his aesthetic. Designers should follow this approach instead of having faces of the moment that often look out of place.

I’m happy to see the casting hasn’t become too unorthodox since he took over as designer at Valentino. When Michele was at Gucci, getting cast almost seemed like a kiss of death for a model’s career, like they’d became part of his set and no other casting director would consider them; alternatively, one could speculate that they exclusively cast models who hadn’t secured bookings for other A-list designers. However, the casts at Valentino have featured many sought after models that fit his aesthetic, so I think a balance between the mainstream and the obscure has been found without sacrificing individuality.
