Most Overpriced Designer?

How about this one?

Victoria, Victoria Beckham (that's the diffusion line) dress,

100% polyester, $775

net-a-porter

And it's ugly, too :ninja:

No way would I ever pay that much for polyester. Surely you could find something similar at H&M for a much more reasonable price. :D

A polyester dress over $700 is just a rip off. Where was it made, maybe the quality is a bit better than other dresses but won't hold my hopes up.

How about a Bally Leather and Silk T-shirt embroidered with Mirrors for $10,000.00? :innocent:

^Seriously? These monstrosities that are only worn by ADR cost €22572.00? Who would pay actual money for this? :ninja:

I was shocked to see that price too!!
He's pretty strong/famous in Italy, but basically a nobody in the international fashion industry...well at least we found something more expensive than Balmain minidresses

well i wouldn't really say he's famous or strong here. actually nobody outside the fashion (esp fashion blogs) circle knows who he is. luckily. lol

Yuck. Why would anyone pay that much money for that heinous thing? That kind of cheap bling is, like, so last decade

When you look closely you'll see that all the the fine lines on top are pearls. Takes ages to apply them. And I havent felt or touched them but there are pearls out there whose price would make your eyes roll.

Not more overpriced than any LVMH product.

they're Kanye West by Guiseppe Zanotti, which may also be a reason for the price... They are also described as Special Edition.

Here is a more detailed picture of the boots...

I don't think those boots are that expensive. Look at all those details...

Louis Vuitton Crocodile coat- $176k

I understand it's crocodile, but my thing is that they made a couture priced piece for something that's going to be out of style in August. I mean, for 176k you could go to Paris and buy a Couture gown that will never go out of style. And probably get a birkin too.

I totally agree that it's expensive, but I think LV is trying to prove a point. Hermes (which LVMH wants to own very dearly) has the market when it comes to expensive leather and exotic pieces. I believe that because Mr. Arnault is so frustrated that LVMH can't purchase Hermes, he wants Louis Vuitton to compete directly with Hermes.

Which is why in the past few seasons we've seen Marc Jacobs emphasize backstage at Louis Vuitton shows how luxurious the accessories are. He emphasizes the skins like ostrich and how many egg shells went into a clutch because there's a base camp that needs to compete with what the world sees as the ultimate luxury.
