^^ Noemie looks adorable! I almost thought she's trying out for America's Next Top Model regarding the way she's dressed.

In less than four years, Noemie Lenoir has made it as a top model in both Europe and America, and can be seen in all the major fashion magazines, as well as sporting all the top designer labels on the runway, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Gucci and Versace.

She feels just as "at home" in Manhattan as in her native Paris, France. And that isn't the half of Lenoir's travels: From the ski slopes of the Alps, to tropical islands in Southeast Asia, Lenoir has certainly seen the world. This experience, she believes, has taught her much about life.

Lenoir has a unique look, which is vital in her business; she also has a healthy attitude, which in the long run can be even more important. This allows her to balance an explosive modeling career and a burgeoning film career with eating right, regular exercise like swimming and horseback riding, and some shopping on the side.

There's no denying that Noemie Lenoir has what it takes to strut her stuff in the fashion world. This was already apparent when she was first discovered, and has been proven ever since she decided that modeling was for her. Her professionalism was confirmed when she continued to model at a fashion show even as anti-fur activists stormed the stage in front of her.

As for personality, Lenoir's is just beginning to bloom. Though a woman in her early 20s is already considered a veteran in the world of modeling, she can still be a rookie in the game of life. Lenoir still seems to be trying to find herself amid the bustle of her career, finding refuge in nature, animals and exercise.

sexiness
87

For a model, sexiness is practically a job requirement, and Noemie Lenoir is hardly lacking. Her knockout, supple figure can be seen in her multiple Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoots, and she can be just as fetching playing up an untamed and savage look or a demure and stylish one, as she can when she's getting wet 'n' wild.

At the same time, Lenoir's youth helps her keep that fresh-faced innocence that can tone down any oversexed ensemble, yet still somehow makes her all the more alluring. The only real drawback she faces in this department is that, like most fashion models, she may be a little thin for some tastes. But, as she herself will jokingly admit, "don't worry, we [models] eat."

As far as modeling goes, Noemie Lenoir has pretty much done it all. She has appeared in everything from fashion mags such as Allure, Elle, British Elle, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Marie Claire, and Interview, to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2000 and 2001 Editions and the New York Times Magazine.

Plus, she has done ads for the Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren Jeans, Pantene Europe, the Victoria's Secret catalog, and L'Oreal. Almost overnight, Lenoir has become an immediately recognizable model and has been chosen to do exclusive modeling for such top designers as Gucci.

However, despite a recent foray into the movies, taking a role in the French-language Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre in 2002, Noemie Lenoir remains relatively unknown outside the world of designer fashion; so perhaps she hasn't quite earned the title of "supermodel" just yet.

natural beauty

Lenoir's natural beauty is beyond question. Her emerald eyes alone would be worth mention, if they weren't set just right in a coffee-colored face that is at once smooth and expressive. Add to that a downright explosive head of hair that has been described as nothing short of "epic," and Noemie's got a look that can't be ignored.

Noemie Lenoir also knows how to keep her built-in beauty going strong by taking good care of her skin and body. She knows the importance of regular check-ups, a good diet, and cleansing her pores of all the makeup she has to wear all day long.

Being on the cutting edge of fashion gives Noemie Lenoir a leg up on style, an advantage that her inborn love of clothes is eager to exploit. She's especially partial to pants, handbags and shoes. This allows her to come up with a host of bold fashion choices that capitalize on her special look.

Noemie can be seen playing up a '70s-era disco queen look, letting her hair blast out in full-blown Afro while completing the effect with some African accessories. In contrast, she knows how to reign in her locks and jazz up her wardrobe to create a sultry and chic effect that's perfect for a classy evening out on the town, with, for example, boxer Evander Holyfield on her arm (though we don't know whether he lets her nibble on his ear).

Babe's an undie achiever

YOU may not know her name, but her body is familiar to millions – and has helped Marks & Spencer hit new heights.

Gorgeous Noemie Lenoir has been advertising the store’s undies on billboards across the country as well as on TV and in newspapers and magazines.

The 26-year-old Afro-French beauty’s charms have boosted M&S lingerie sales by 20 per cent.

And you can check out a slideshow of her sexy snaps by clicking on the link below.

Overall the firm’s womenswear ad campaign — featuring Noemie and models Twiggy, Erin O’Connor and Laura Bailey — is credited with helping annual profits soar 35 per cent to £751million.

But it is Noemie — pronounced No-ee-mee — who has emerged as the store’s sales sensation, with every outfit she advertises selling out within days.

A pair of black and white shoes she wore in one ad became the subject of frenzied teen weblogs as girls battled to get hold of them.

Though she is virtually unknown in Britain, 5ft 10in Noemie is hugely successful in the US and Europe, appearing in campaigns for Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, Victoria’s Secret and L’Oreal.

Her husband is famous in his own right — he is Chelsea’s French midfielder Claude Makalele.

The couple, below, have a one-year-old son, Kelyan, and divide their time between homes in West London and Manhattan.Despite her jetset lifestyle, Noemie loves relaxing with her family and shuns the celebrity lifestyle that so many mega models enjoy.

She says: “Being sexy is a game. I never really enjoy being recognised. I’m not from a show business background and it’s strange to realise that everyone is waiting around for me.”

It is this down-to-earth manner — supermodel without the super attitude — which shoppers find so appealing and which is helping M&S go from strength to strength.

The company’s Marketing Director Steven Sharp says: “Noemie has starred in some of our previous lingerie campaigns.

“We used her again because we wanted to show our lingerie in a natural environment, as women would like to see it, rather than in a gratuitous ‘Hello Boys’ way and because we felt she brought another level of fun into the mix.”

From Marks and Spencer Aberdeen
The 2006 Christmas M&S advert had a James Bond and Ice Concert theme and the star was Shirley Bassey. It was first aired on 8 November 2006. As you can see in the photograph to the left the stars wore some of the stunning winter range from M&S. The theme tune was Get This Party Started which was sung by Shirley Bassey. Other stars in the 2006 M&S ad were Twiggy, Erin O'Connor, Laura Bailey, Noemie Lenoir and Elizabeth Jagger. The plot of the 90 second television advert saw supermodel Erin O'Connor doing a photo shoot beside London Bridge. She gets a call. At the same time Noemie Lenoir is reading a book at home when she also gets a call. Twiggy also gets a call while she is having a meal. Then three snow-bikes are seen speeding over a snow covered landscape before pulling up by a huge Crystallised building. The first rider pulls her helmet off and it is model Elizabeth Jagger. The other snow bikers take off their helmets to reveal Noemie Lenoir and Erin O'Connor. Twiggy arrives on a sleigh and delivers Christmas gifts. Inside the crystal hotel the models each open Twiggy's presents and are getting ready for the party. As they walk down the staircase to the party the singer is revealed as Shirley Bassey performing her version of Pink's Get This Party Started.

From Celebopedia
Noemie Lenoir (born September 19, 1979) is a French supermodel and actress. She was born in the town of Versailles, 25km west of Paris. She is the daughter of a French father and a French mother coming from the French island of La Réunion and who, like many Reunionais, is of Madagascan descent.

Noémie was discovered at the age of 17 by a former model who took her to New York City and introduced her to various modelling agencies. This led to Noémie working with famous fashion photographers like Mario Testino and Peter Linbergh resulting in shoots being published in such magazines as Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire, and Sports Illustrated.
In 2001 Noémie signed with L'Oréal, and has appeared in their advertisements alongside French supermodel Laetitia Casta and long-term spokesmodel and actress Andie McDowell.
More recently, Noémie has turned her attentions to acting and has had minor parts in several successful French titles and also appeared opposite Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek in the film After the Sunset.
In the spring of 2004, she met and married the French footballer Claude Makelele and on January 24, 2005, Lenoir gave birth to a boy that they named Kelyan.
Noemie is currently the face of UK high-street retailer Marks and Spencer, and can be seen in various magazines and billboards alongside fellow models Twiggy and Laura Bailey. Noemie Lenoir is represented worldwide by Elite Model Management

Her surname is a very popular one in France especially for girls of her generation. Her last name has a meaning in French. Litterally it means "The black" but it is in fact the equivalent of the English last name Black in the Francophonie, considering the different use of articles in both languages.
