No?mie Lenoir (born September 19, 1979) is a French supermodel and actress. She was born in the town of Versailles, 25km west of Paris. She is the daughter of a French father and a French mother coming from the French island of La R?union and who, like many R?unionais, is of Madagascan descent.
No?mie was discovered at the age of 17 by a former model who took her to New York City and introduced her to various modelling agencies. This led to No?mie working with famous fashion photographers like Mario Testino and Peter Linbergh resulting in shoots being published in such magazines as Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire, and Sports Illustrated.
In 2001 No?mie signed with L’Or?al, and has appeared in their advertisements alongside French supermodel Laetitia Casta and long-term spokesmodel and actress Andie McDowell.
More recently, No?mie has turned her attentions to acting and has had minor parts in several successful French titles and also appeared opposite Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek in the film After the Sunset.
In the spring of 2004, she met and married the French footballer Claude Mak?l?l? and on January 24, 2005, Lenoir gave birth to a boy that they named Kelyan.
No?mie is currently the face of UK high-street retailer Marks and Spencer, and can be seen in various magazines and billboards alongside fellow models Twiggy and Laura Bailey.
