Noémie Lenoir (born September 19, 1979) is a French model and actress. She's from the town of Versailles, just outside of Paris, France. The daughter of a French father and a mother from Réunion, a small island east of Madagascar. She was discovered at the age of 17 by a former model who eventually took her to New York City to modelling agencies. Her discovery led her to work with famous fashion photographers like Mario Testino and Peter Linbergh to get her appear in magazines such as Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire, and Sports Illustrated and in various advertisement of famous trademarks. In 2001, she signed with L'Oréal along Laetitia Casta and Andie McDowell. From then on, she turned to cinema to play roles in several succesfull French titles. In 2004, she played with Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek in the film After the Sunset. In the spring of 2004, she met with the French-Congolese footballer Claude Makélélé and in 2005, the couple had their first child, a boy named Kelyan.
