Me too!those would be perfect with a funky black dress. maybe too casual for a wedding type event but with a certain japanese designer...YES.
See this is a perfect example as to why I like them and why I don't.With floaty, girly dresses and sheer tights. Especially when they have a punky, fetish edge
so my take is, yes, some of these are trendy but the concept has staying power. they can be worn as a bridge from warmer weather with no socks to cooler weather with tights, socks, leggings, whatever. the open toe for a boot is genius and fresh. I see them as investment pieces for my wardrobe (shoes and jackets always are for me) not something I will tire of nor do I see them loosing their appeal any time soon. I think the key is to choose carefully and make sure the ones you purchase really rock your boat and fit your way of dressing. I've bought two pair already because the minute I saw them I got giddy with joy that those were "me". If you notice most of the really good open toe boots are by the more artsy designers.
so, keep those pics coming...
I think it looks interesting, to the extent of looking at in pictures or spreads, but definitely not practical.Kind of ridiculous in real life, actually.
