    Matthew Williamson
    Fendi
    Prada
Guess (if you'd consider that designer, haha)
Calvin Klein (they used to actually have adorable clothes, once upon a time)

    Marc Jacobs
    Galliano to some extent
    Max Azria
    Julian Macdonald
    Matthew Williamson
    Kimora Simmons
Lagerfeld is starting to get to me too- those 'ankle tag' bags were the final straw

Hmmm. I guess if the term is "overrated," then I would have to say P Diddy as he won that award back in 2004, but as far as other designers such as kimora and donatella---well I just don't know anyone who puts their items high on their list of must-haves. So I cannot say they are overrated, but just moneyed, and well connected.

I wanted to answer this but I keep thinking about it and it's just too subjective. it's like asking what the most overrated color is or time of day. it's completely different depending on your POV.

    DSquared: Severly overpriced.
    Calvin Klein: Yawn!
Marc Jacobs: Only reason he's rated high as God is because he works for LV.
Hugo Boss: Big name, zero flair.
Armani: Nice suits...............is all I can say about the brand.

Alexander McQueen: Same period costumes season after season
Zac Posen: ZERO creativity and I have yet to see a personality from his work
Marc Jacobs: overrated but not totally awful. too overexposed and hyped
Karl Lagerfeld: the MOST overrated to me. when is he retiring?
Coco Chanel: (basically Chanel in general) only important because of the history behind her
Armani: blah blah blah season after season
Michael Kors: seems to be the king of overrated
Jeremy Scott: hipster dream, my nightmare
DSquared: they are basically Dolce & Gabbana's tackier/cheaper/sleazier cousins
John Galliano for Dior: time for a change at Dior. I enjoy his collection however
Nicolas Ghesquière: like Marc he is overrated but not bad. waaayyy over hyped
Vivienne Westwood: it gets old seeing the same season after season

    Sheesh long list.
In all honesty though, I think at some point all "famous" or big designers become "overrated" because they will make one great collection and receive buzz and then follow up with not so great then of course they are going to be seen as overrated.

Really in this industry to NOT be overrated is to be consistently GREAT every season (which doesn't happen) or remain "underground" and lesser known.

Vivienne Westwood is definetly overrated. Love Marc jacobs! But THE most overrated designer would have to be Donatella...

they are probably considered overrated now

but it's because they have created a lot of talk in the past
    it's in their history
    being break-throughs in fashion

i guess it's time to give the name to new designers

I have to say Gareth. His stuff is too weird for me.And Vivienne Westwood, I could probably make those outfits myself if I tried and NOT have them cost $4,000.

I kind of agree with Alexander Mcqueen too, though I did like his FW05 collection that had Tippi Hedren type outfits.

Versace, Kors, Posen, and I hate to say it, but to some extent Gucci sans this recent collection. Their accessories are hideous.
