those types of pants look best with a chunky shoe...
to balance the fullness of the leg..
so i would advise some sort of platform or tall wedge...

is it stupid to wear a toboggan/trapper hat with the ear covers?

I can't wear tall shoes for every day  I walk everywhere because I'm a poor student

so - you can't wear flats because it won't look good...
and you can't wear the ones that do look good because they aren't comfortable enough...

i guess you better re-think those pants...

:p

thinkbelove...I think you can wear this kind of hat...nothing weird about it if it suits your style

It's not that they're not comfortable enough, but I don't know anyone wearing 5" shoes while carrying 7 kgs of books and walking everywhere ;)

what about some men's style shoes?
browns
Oh yes. Haven't thought about that! Or maybe pumps with kitten heels?

Has anyone ever sold or donated all of their clothes and started from scratch? Sometimes I am tempted by this idea.

^ I don't think I could get rid of ALL of my clothes. I love some pieces too much. But honestly, I think I could do that with 90% of my wardrobe, build it up again, and survive :p

I did it with most of my tops and some shorts:rolleyes: But it's only because a couple of summers ago when the 80's neon colors were huge I went out and bought a wackkkk of colors for my wardrobe. To make myself wear more color
But really I'm a black and grey girl. And I wear it fine because I accessorize with the right jewels and jackets.
So I went back true to myself and got rid of everything. Wish I could have that money back:lol: oh what stupid phases we go through....

Well, my suitcase was stolen a few months ago, and I lost most of my transitional spring-summer clothes. In theory the idea of getting rid of almost everything and starting over sounds exciting, but believe me, it was no fun:( See the "Rebuilding a wardrobe" thread for my miserly tale. Although I am sure that if it were my personal choice to purge my closet and start over, and not the consequence of theft, I would have revelled in it a lot more.

So I need people's educated opinions: :)
I am going to a semi-formal college dance, super fun - and i have an amazing dress. The thing is, I found these super cute booties that have 3 inch heels. They make the dress look even better, and me as well. The only thing is is that i am 6'0 without heels...and SO:

do I intimidate all males that will be going to this dance and be a gorgeous giant, or should I wear flats and probably have a better chance of seeming approachable???

For my senior prom I was at least 6 in taller than my date I was 5'9 with heels and my date was super short. Be intimidateing guys really dont care and being tall is fun.

I'm always in awe of really tall girls who wear high heels, they look like goddesses to me. It's true that some guys are intimidated by girls who are taller than they are, but I say embrace your height. Just make sure you can dance in those shoes!
