today i wore pants with no pockets and a big cardigan instead of a coat-
also with no pockets...

damn if i didn't know what to do with my hands...
...

it made me really self conscious and aware of the fact that i really do have a major thing for pockets...

^_^...

also wanted to try on a pair of inexpensive little motorcycle ankle boots that i saw in a window (like the ones i have been looking for)
but they were all sold out of my size...
:(...
boo!

oh well- i guess that saved me some money...
at least until i find them somewhere else...
:shifty:...:p...

 I have the same attraction to pockets - I feel really awkward when I wear pieces that do not have pockets, it used to be a daily thing for work, when I wore pant/skirt suits with no pockets, or trousers and cardigans. I tended to hold onto my handbag, which I thought looked odd

glad there are fellow pocketaddicts..
i almost stopped buying skirts and dresses if they don't have pockets...

I've realised i need to start wearing more skirts..

I want to build a collection of skirts and tights for winter...at least until it gets really cold. i almost exclusively wear jeans and pants and my eye just goes directly to them, but I bought a pair of ankle boots and wore them today with thick black tights and a white skirt and loved it.. I'm just going to have to train myself to look for skirts and maybe some cute easy dresses when i'm out shopping... i have so much trouble with them.. usually they're too formal, or i hate the material, or i don't like where they sit on my waist/hips.. and I never quite know which tops to pair with them. it's like a whole new world...:stuart:

I need to find more wintry dresses as well. And I need some damn leggings but no one sells the kind I like (unless they're like $70 a pair, and that's just crazy). And I need a blazer.

oh yeah. i need to finde one ore two great longsleeved dress(es) for winter too. i hope i'll find them on a trip to berlin in a month...
i'm looking forward to look at acne and cos...

adore, I've been into the whole skirt+tights the last month or so.. I've never really been able to find skirts that look good on me and which I felt comfortable in.. but all of a sudden they are everywhere  ore maybe it's just because I've finally given them a chance..
And since I don't wear pants that often (okay maybe once a week.) I was kinda getting tired of wearing dresses most of the time.
So wearing skirts again, has really made me able to wear a lot of my unworn tops. :D

mmm...
funny you say that...
i am weirdly obsessed with pants right now...
probably because i have hardly any that fit...
:innocent:...

well- i do have a couple..
but they need to be shortened or something and i can't seem to get around to it...!
:judge:...
bad me!!!

^ah I know the feeling.. I'm short so I always have to hem the pants I by. I don't mind sewing, and I like to make random pieces and Customize from time to time, but hemming is just so incredible boring. I think this was actually why I pretty much stopped buying pants to begin with..

Though the this week I have been wearing pants almost everyday. But that's because our washing machine broke, and had been so for some weeks :ninja: luckily it's working again

^ Mine have to be hemmed too. I have them tailored to wear with heels, and hemmed a bit higher in the front so the details of the shoe can show

oh my god...i do that too! all the time :D:p i hate having nothing to "put my hands on/in" so i always feel very weird whenever i wear something without pockets or not carry a bag with me. even though, i end up feeling weird while "holding" onto my bag aswell....

Nice.. :flower: I'm too cheap to get them tailored :ninja: I'll rather do it myself, and then I tend to put it of for ages..

I just got an idea. I'm giving myself a challenge. Starting from tomorrow i'll start in the right end of my closet (only counting the stuff that hangs) and I'll take the first piece and build my outfit upon this. And I'll go through all my clothe that are hanging like this, wearing the piece to the left of the thing I wore the day before. Going from right to left building a new outfit upon a new pieces for a new day ^_^
It shouldn't be that hard a challenge, I'm still unsure if I can pull it of though  :innocent:

^ I'm sure you can do it. ^_^:flower:

I'm a pretty boring gal in the winter. Just hoodies for me. -_- But since I'm not much of a sweater person, are there any cozy alternatives you all can think of?

That's a good idea, Tinetush.

papa levante, you could do a short quilted down jacket ... Moncler does some pretty ones.

I need a whole new winter working wardrobe, although I'm OK for coats, that's the one thing I don't have to worry about.

Hmm. They seem too poofy for indoors. I'm talking more of alternatives to sweat shirts/hoodies when indoors. :flower: Plus, I'm not a big fan of down jackets.

But this color is lovely. :crush:

I need to get some nice warm cardigans and jumpers for during the winter. I particularly want some cable-knit jumpers and polo-necked ones. I'm thinking perhaps some vintage pieces.

I need some weatherproof boots too. Possibly motorcycle boots or army-style boots. Something comfortable to walk in and will withstand the mud and rain.

CARDIGANS! Good idea.. but when I think of cardigans, I think of all the scenester kids wearing the same thing. :yuk: The Gap makes great thin sweaters. I have a lovely coral turtleneck from there that's great for outdoors (if it ain't too cold).

^ There are so many different kinds of cardigans though ... even just in my closet ;)

Another option would be a fleece vest ... I also have a quilted one that is made of some kind of indoor/outdoor fabric ...

Patagonia has Synchilla fleece made of recycled plastic bottles.
