Chanelnumber5, I think this dress is pretty & you look good in it :flower: Don't worry, I think that there's nothing wrong with your hips :D

right now im really into oversized shirts of my favourite bands (I make them myself ) with a pair of tights and a cute hat.

Summer is approaching....:ninja: what to do, what to do??

I want a pair of tan sandals, and I am really hoping I can get my hands on a cartain Dries pair they would be perfect for my 'basic' looks.

I would love to find a perfect pair of shorts..easy to wear..slouchy perhaps a deep navy shade. Ebery summer

Summer is always an odd season in terms of style for me.

summer is such an odd season to me too.
I am out from my comfort zone when I have to wear something short, show my legs and arms. eh :(
I think navy shorts sounds great ^_^

^ me too. I seriously hate the heat of summer. My style goes all wacko and seem to wear them same thing everyday...tank tops and skirts, tank tops and shorts, or a little dress. For me, it's just so uninspiring. :(

It is such a unispirating season to me too.
But I think Nicole Richie has pretty much perfect look for summer.
Perfect boho dresses, perfect denim shorts and perfect t-shirts.
and when she puts little braids to her hair and wear huge sunnies it is just perfect.

I do not wanna spend time stressing about summe wardrobe anymore. It is ment to be carefree and laid-back season. So these are something I am planning to wear:

dresses like these that I sewed by myself.

with leggings.

and basic flats.

and I will add some cute necklase or head accessory and carry vintage clutch/bag.

that is the most comfortable outfit I can wear in summer. no matter how boring it sounds.

Also I love the combintaion of basic t-shirt with little loose-ish fit and denim skirts. Kate wears lovely sandals but I would wear the with flats.

Those are very close for my comfort zone. If it was fall/winter I would wear those pieces but just add cardigan/zip-up, tights and scarves.

After looking at pages and pages of gorgeous Dita Von Teese pictures, I really wanna try and wear a dress everyday, either pairing it with flats, heels or boots. At first, I thought of wearing fifties style dresses and prints only but then I thought I love my grungy tunics and other dresses too much! Although I love how high heels look, I don't think it matches my lifestyle to wear heels everyday.

Have any of you tried just wearing dresses everyday exclusively? The idea appeals to me in a quaint old-fashioned 'lady' sort of way

I think I am done summer shopping for now..considering we don't get much of a summer here...

I would like to get a pair of really washed out t shirts in slate grey and olive to team with my frayed black denim skirt and Dries silver bead sandals.
I think this could become a uniform for those really hot days.

Guys, when is it going to be the right time to start a F/W 09.10-related thread?.. for the love of god. someone!. :cry:
see, winter is chasing me, I lived north of the hemisphere.. when it was winter, then came to the south and, winter just arrived now.. I'm so bored with my wardrobe at this point, I need new ideas.. and human adaptations/perspectives on the winter collections. my current surroundings are so not inspiring as they're carrying F/W 08.09 stuff.. even local Zara has on display a pair of boots I got last year in nyc.. ugh.
hmm.. uhh.. let me know. :ninja:

^ Now is good ... ;) Do you want to start a must-haves thread? I was gonna do it next month if no one had already, but I don't see why we can't start the party riiiight now  You can go ahead & pin it if you like ...

Oh, no, you start it, please, I'm so dull with these things, I'm always like 'here's a thread!'.:lol:

Mullet Never too early to start a F/W thread.:p

For winter I have my eyes on a spesific pair of boots..hopefully I'll get them when I'm in Paris, I also want a really big scarf, in olive. And there will definetly be leather involved..

I am still looking for a gold ring to wear as an 'everyday' item, I love the way gold breaks up black...

I just have some general thoughts but autumn but luckily is still far away.. I do really enjoy planning for it though.

^I'm really looking forward to planning/purchasing by f/w wardrobe this year, I am so bored of summer dressing already

Are you looking for a particular type/size of ring?

I've decided the first step in starting my new life is re-building my wardrobe from scratch... I've been depressed for the past few years and I've suddenly become overwhelmed with lust for life! Haha, I sound so cheesy I know... it's just I've been dressing in a kind of uber minimal, uniform style for the past few years and suddenly I want to wear silk and lace and velvet and glittery things and gorgeous skirts and dresses.. ah, so exciting! I've decided the look I'm going to go for is a mix of little girl (Courtney Love kinderwhore style), decadent Parisian, elegant goth.. with a bit of fetish thrown in for good measure.

^ I wish you good luck! I know that re-building the wardrobe is very hard, because I'm always saying that I'll do it "tomorrow" :innocent:

PS "Doll Parts" is quite good song, I used to love it some time ago :)

I am considering saving up for a Birkin 35cm, as I feel it could bring my style to a new level.. I seem to grow tired of all my bags very fast, and I ultimately want one that is forever or at least for a good few years. Question is whether it is worth it or not at this point..
