I swear if we make a list of signatures or collect money,

I'LL DO IT

And who would you send it to? We don't even know why the film's not being released.

haha well they do have one more screening of it in Melbourne, i could go and try to record it for you guys ninja style but i doubt id be allowed :P the theatre turnout was great for it and i assume with its success they would release it.

^^ I went to the MIFF screening as well. I thought the film was great and I'm even thinking of going to the second screening! It was insightful, honest, interesting, funny, sad...

For this statement alone you should be taken to court.

I just cannot understand how anyone can tolerate or overlook these crimes against young girls just because they are "models" and the people behind the scenes keeping quiet about it or choose to ignore it are just as guilty. They are human beings even thought they might be treated like cloth-hangers or canvases for beauty-products. They have the same rights like everyone else. :ninja:

I think you misunderstood Yupes' comment, its context, and the irony of the phrase "bite the hand that feeds them". I'm pretty sure Yupes' succinct post was simply remarking on (in a positive way) how the documentary is encouraging models to speak out against people who have the power to make/break their careers (i.e. the "hand that feeds them"). :flower:

If it was meant in a positive and playful way I sure do agree with you. But I'm afraid the comment was meant to be taken serious. There are just too many people thinking "you chose this life so follow the rules and just shut up" for me to see any kind of humor or irony in these statements.

Gosh, I first commented in this thread over a year ago... and I still haven't seen it :(

I saw this trailer for Tiger recently, it looks similar to this documentary in some ways. Has anyone seen Tiger? what's it like?

omg, that "tiger" movie looks so ridiculousy dumb

Gladly found out that the documentary will apparently be released in France on October the 20th 2010 (distributed by Eurozoom).

It could seems strange to see it be released in France before USA but it sometimes happens for some movies. Plus the sources seem reliable, there's even a poster for it.

New York Premiere will be September 17th at the Angelika Film Center according to NYMag. Trailer can be seen at the source as well.

Also:
To build upon the duo's work in Picture Me, Ziff will be reporting exclusively for The Cut throughout New York Fashion Week. Her web miniseries, which we'll post in three installments, will tackle the major themes of the movie: youth, money, and life after modeling.
:woot: This sounds exciting, and hopefully it bodes well for a wider release of the film soon after.
