The ear lobe is all soft and fatty and useless and strikes me as a good place to pierce whereas the top of the ear just sounds a bit painful...

I remember when I was in high school - yes, during the 90s - every girl had that piercing (accept me of course - mom thought it was tacky)! Nothing more to say really, just thought your comment was funny
I had it done my right ear first and it blew up, now I have it on my left (and the right closed and healed nicely)...I did it with a gun though, so if you go to a professional with a needle it probably won't blow up

^^^ abit off topic but if i had the money to waste i would so get this done!![]()

Same here. It's a very subtle piercing, not vulgar or tacky (unless you choose to wear massive plastic sculptures in neon colors), rather painless (you can take the stud out at night after a few months) so if I were you I'd just go for it. If you decide later it's not for you, you can always take it out anyway.purplelucrezia said:I've had mine for years now, and still love it. It wasn't painful, but as with most piercings, that depends on the individual... The one problem I found was with sleeping, because it meant that I couldn't sleep on the one side for a while.
I get bored periodically too, and remove it. Luckily, it's always stayed open for me, which is convenient. You need to get it done professionally as well.
