That said, this is really irresponsible on Bazaar's part as it makes Mulier look really bad for no reason. There's already comments trashing him for "lying".

For sure they send a copy for proof reading to Pieter or at least his team as is normal with interview there is no excuse its not first time that's why PVO draws a line now publicly.

And like i write here often trying to explain the reality with in these brands , the most talented people don't get the jobs its the most *sskissing snake oil salesman do and names that are associated with a winning designers as peter is seen in Dior documentary he became the nr 2 of raf as if it was always so.

PVO i think said in last interview podcast that he don't want a cd job..its not everyone's dream i get that.

It’s just endemic of how bad journalism is nowadays, everyone with knowledge knows that Patrick was Raf’s #2 at Jil Sander. I don’t think Pieter himself would ever suggest otherwise.

It’s their publication, their reputation, their job to do the thing.
I don’t care for Pieter. Because this kind of fault won’t lie into him.

The reader of the magazine is the one who is going to be fooled by a false information. In that case, it’s not Pieter’s fault.

If I decide to lie in a publication and that lie gets printed on, it’s not my fault if the journalist didn’t do basic fact-check. Even more in something that is so widely known.

Now I’m the one side-eyeing Bazaar because you expect a certain level of accuracy from a big prestigious magazine.

I hate that he is doing it because you don’t want to look like the « bitter one who is looking from outside ».

But he is certainly more talented than Pieter. That is sure. I don’t feel like he is playing the fashion game though in being visible.

I know when we had to proofread interviews it was done by multiple people from the PR director to the right hand of CD and every department that's had to check for accuracy or signoff in case something like even a book title was correct etc its a normal thing!!It's not irrelevant.

To me irrelevant is the reader being fooled because nobody cares who was right hand of Raf it matters more for the industry

Unheard of in my experience that a piece for a magazine where you have time to edit is not send before to give green light when i can't be pre red on time its mentioned etc and things are agreed beforehand with trust.

If in the case a interviewer lies and the journalist can't find back up evidence or does not do proper investigation this is another layer.
I side eye both Pieter and the journalist..... again because its not ot the first time.

It's too simplistic to to place blame on one party when there are two sides responsible for accurate info
