Miuccia Prada is one of the most important and influential designer of those last 30 years. As the Prada site has been revamped, it was a great opportunity to showcase her work and to see how she defined the Prada look/esthetic.

This is the first time I see this collection FULL.
I think the earliest collection I know of was in the early-mid 1990s...
Some of the silhouettes look still very contemporary ...

I think that collection is very interesting considering that it came after CDG and the whole Japanese mania, the return of Couture in the spotlight (thanks to Karl & Lacroix) and it was shown when Milan became to be what London is today.
That collection is very wardrobe oriented but we can already see that she was very confident in her taste.

I don't know if it was very different (in a fashion point of view) of what was on trend in 1988 but the presentation and the vision of the women in that collection seems very different (and less outrageously glamorous) from what we thought the 80's were.

Yes, she was even a model for Helmut Lang at that time. She was in his AW 1988 show i think.
