But there was the same argument last season and then it was confirmed that Meisel was the video director.

Miuccia Prada‘s esoteric perspective is one of the primary reason’s why Prada is one of the definitive brands of the last century. Steven Meisel takes that ethos and channels it into a chess-centric and haunting film filled with unanswered questions. The presence of Vanessa Axente, Magdalena Frackowiak, Madison Headrick, Elza Luijendijk, Iselin Steiro & Anne Vyalitsyna certainly doesn’t hurt either.

I don't always find models.com to be a reliable source of accurate info, however...David james has not shown up anywhere, and if that's the case then I do agree that it was Steven Miesel in charge of that video until there are other reliable sources provided that David James was in charge of the video campaign.

He's been the creative director for Prada for the past 14 years or so, both for print and video campaigns. Obviously it's less confusing to just announce Meisel as both photographer and director, since the video and print are so similar (and Meisel is a well known name)
