Prada F/W 2011.12 : Antonia, Dorte, Frida, Julia, Kelly & Ondria by Steven Meisel

I love how subtle this campaign is. It's just gorgeous! I honestly have no idea who Antonia, Kelly and Ondria are. But good for them for scoring this one. This feels like early 2000s.

I hate to say this but I can't help myself from imagining this one with more established models rather than these super newbies (Except for Frida).

Ondria is so bland. The others are lovely, especially Kelly, epic face.

Erm.. I don't really feel Frida here, but maybe I just need to warm up her being a Prada girl.

Anyway, I'm still enjoying every part of the campaign. The casting is simply fabulous, I just love how those three came totally out of nowhere and made such a stunning appearance at the first sight already. And the shots are so beautiful in general. Wonderful.

I don't see how frida is not right for this prada collection. She is the personification of sweetness, innocence and beauty. Plus we have the other models, with the special and unusual features which is particular in prada

I love the colour scheme and the composition of the shots. It reminds me a bit of Sasha's old Prada campaigns with those pale gray knee length socks, the soft pink backdrop and the kittens.
The model choice is really unexpected given how many incredible girls walked in the Prada show. So many of them would have fit this campaign well. I was expecting Josephine Skriver, Colinne Michaelis, Juliane Gruner, Caterina Ravaglia et al... (And I half wish they were in the campaign.)
It's a lovely campaign overall.

it has gown on me now that i have seen the rest of the girls. Kelly looks really mature and i love Frida and Ondria's shot. Not really feeling Antonia yet, but we'll see

Sometimes you can like the ingredients but not the end product. That's the case for me here, I like all the girls except for Antonia but most of the shots are still bland to me. Kelly looks really good in hers though.

Kelly and Frida are the only girls that really work here. The other are simply too boring. The campaign is nothing short of stunning though. The mood is so relaxing and modern, it oozes with that essential Prada appeal.

Great campaign, the mood reminds me a bit of Spring 2006 which is one of my favourite Prada campaigns ever. The styling is really good too. I think I can already say that this is my favourite since Sasha's reign..
And as for the casting.. I wasn't familiar with Antonia or Ondria but they work great, and I'm impressed by Frida! I knew she was in the campaign before but when I saw the shot that was posted I didn't even recognise her lol. I was sort of hoping that after her exclusive Juliane Gruner would be included but oh well, I still really like this cast.

Love this! Its such a departure from last seasons campaign; and it feels very early 2000's Prada.

In terms of casting; I think Kelly Mittendorf without a doubt steals the show. Antonia Wesseloh offers a good balance to Kelly's look; but the other two feel a bit of a waste. Neither of them have the same visual impact that Kelly and Antonia do respectively. Its a shame because both are beautiful but, for me, just not the right aesthetic for Prada.
