Balenciaga F/W 11.12 by Steven Meisel

Awesome. I love this campaign, especially the last group shot in #81. Yay for Liya

the idea of it is interesting, strongly comparison of virtual and reality

Liisa and Liya look amazing in this campaign, but the gerbils also look good in their group shots...I think it's the whole church setting that saves them. The clothes look much better in print, I just really want to see those print dresses without the ugly jackets though!

I'm absolutely in love with single shots. Liya looks divine!! Thanks for the HQ's tarsha.:flower:

All in all I'm just not sure about all this.
As a tool for displaying the clothes well it works and visually I suppose it ticks all the boxes, but something is off here.
Juliane is certainly an attention grabber and I could never complain about the inclusion of Liya and Liisa, but I don't rate Carla and Julia Nobis just fades away here.
Want to like it but just can't manage to.

The concept sound great but the execution was a bit disappointed.

I honestly think Meisel sometimes picks new girls just because they are "fresh faces". Its almost like he doesn't care if the girls have any natural modelling ability. The only new girl working here is Juliane Gruner (he really should have used Liya more).

I love it. The light coming into the church is perfection. Love the movement. The juxtaposition of both setting is wonderful. Great stuff.

Liya's pic is the only one I like from this campaign, I love her total look but the rest of the clothes hum...
