Oh wow! There is so much to hate. I don’t even know where to start.
- those tank top skirts that hang from the body are the most aggressively ugly garment proposition I’ve ever seen. It’s almost an accomplishment on itself.
- those diaper hotpants that Raf (you know it’s him) pushes on us season after season on men and women is just offensive. Who wants to look like like this?
- most of the garments, especially the opening numbers made the models look like rugby players.
- those color combos are played out.
- suddenly Dior skirts?

Who is buying this? I don’t get it? I’m not buying Prada anymore and the people I know who where die hard Prada fans (lots of people in the art world) are not buying it anymore either. I also find their accessories lackluster. What is pushing their numbers? Does someone know?

As soon as the first look walked, I knew I wasn’t going to like this. Each look somehow got worse and worse. Easily the worst Prada collection I think I’ve ever seen.

It's quite easy. Basic nylon accessories with Prada triangles.

I see excess overhang from Raf’s Calvin days. More of the same really to be honest so I’m not that excited at all.

Also… for such bare bones collections they need a set up more intimate. Such behemoth airy brutalist environments really highlight how meek the design outputs are. Whatever happened to the sexy and playful Prada? Where did that woman go and why did she have to become so aseptic. Prada used to have something to smile about, in a witty and coquettish way. Now she’s so gormless and unhappy. I know it was Raf that kind of marred her spirit, but surely she’s still there. Surely…?

It feels like a collection that could or should put Prada back on track, but the suspender skirts and diapers weigh everything down, going to blame Raf for that!

I’m so annoyed they kept playing that part of “Moments in Love” with the weird noises. That part always frightened me.

I don’t understand how Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons can create collections that offer so much yet nothing at all. Something needs to change!

Their numbers aren't pushing at all, minus 4% yoy, but Miu Miu is booming, plus 40% yoy, and the press release is quite clear:
"The brand - PRADA - continued to captivate with its polyhedric and multifaceted take on contemporary society. Creative dynamism translated into a continuous enhancement of icons, with signature Re-Nylon reinforcing the brand’s distinctive aesthetic codes through new and enriched combinations of shapes and colours."
The bold is mine, they are selling fashion plastic.

Best part was Miuccia's outfit for their salute. The chicness of this woman.. my god!

Which makes the collection even more furstrating. Its such a cacophony... And so unflattering and ill-fitted

It honestly could be an AI rendering of a Prada collection. So many codes of the brand thrown to the wall, take the ones that stick and put them all together. No finesse, wit or subtlety.

The casting was good though. Very pleasant surprise to see Maggie and Erin!
