Preen S/S 10 New York

I'm not so sure about the shoulder pads, it's nowhere near fresh anymore. And the PVC-ish glossiness in some pieces kinda cheapens the whole look alittle.

But i'm loving the giambattista valli, like someone previously had said, puffiness in some pieces. It's much softer, lighter, and looser, which is a shift from their usual skin-tight silhouette.

i'm loving this punk spin to the transparency trend. also, i love the way they've developed that old balenciaga vocabulary into something quite wearable and covetable....especially those great silver pants and "moppy" pieces.

I totally agree that some pieces in the collection are wearable Balenciaga. That was the first thing I thought when I saw the puff ball shoulders on that white outfit.

Overall there were some things that I liked but more that I didn't...

While I don't agree that Preen has completely lost their mojo ever since they moved to NYC, I agree with the people who have said that Preen has lost its distinctive quality.

I like a lot of this. I think its a pretty good collection, and I don't mind the slight similarity to previous collections, I like the fact you can tell its Preen.

I have to be honest, I thought the silver trousers were horrendous. Saying that, I loved most of the muted shades and the pattern blocked pieces. As for the sharp shoulder thing, BCBG Max Azria hinted at those in the SS10 collection as well - apparently it's the trend that's going to follow us into next year...

Aww, they're so cute together.
Nothing really stands out for me, but I didn't like the use of the yellow and white together.
