Puffball/egg shaped skirts

I like the tucked-under "bubble" hem, but I am not nearly courageous enough to attempt the real deal.

I like this more conservative take, on the Rosabelle Dress, from Anthropologie:

This skirt is also abit egg shaped...or am I wrong?

I got this puffball skirt yesterday for US$10... what do u think? im kind of stuck on whether i like it or not....
That is one of the sweetest little puffball skirts I've seen  But if you don't want it... :innocent::D:ninja:

I detest them. Balenciaga's are "interesting" to look at on the runway, but they're truly hideous things and do absolutely nothing for the body. Quite possibly the most unflattering article of clothing ever. The trend will not stick around long at all, and most wearers will surely regret it when looking back, just like with any other silly-looking thing. At least you'll get a good laugh.

Does anyone know where I can find an egg shaped one online? Ive looked everywhere around here & cant find them.

i love skirts and dresses with puffs. i have a skirt with a puff and its fab.

I do not like this shape at all... It takes away from the already beautiful female body... Maybe I just have to try harder to embrace the trend? Nah...

I totally agree. I love the tucked under hem, but the 'real deal' would make me look like a pear.

Question...
So I finally found a skirt... the Marc Jacobs one that is rose print navy & red.
My question is how do I wear it? I was thinking Id wear it with some black tights, black pumps or flats & a black turtle neck. Any other ideas on how I could wear it? Colored tights maybe? Any ideas are more then welcome.
Thanks. :flower:

Heres the skirt (I dont like how they are showing it much in this picture... its alittle to casual with the tees for me)...

I know this is weird, but I think since this is a trend that's a bit "extreme" for the mainstream crowd, this would go best with minimal makeup and hair, because otherwise it looks like one is trying to hard.....

I hope that made sense....

tiffany, i wear mine with flat knee-high boots. i've tried them on with my ballet flats and it doesn't look as good because i'm on the short side but maybe you could make it work.

Thanks you two... I always do minimal make up & hair so no prob there lol.

Oh & Ill check the flats out but yeah... your probably right. I dont own a knee high flat boot so I think Ill just go with the opaque tights with a pump.

Any ideas on other tops to wear with it?

I guess my pic got delete because I forgot to credit it...sorry about that. I keep forgetting. Its from Firstview.com.

Here it is again... in case anyone has an ideas on colors to wear with it.

^I saqw a girl in urban outfitters wearing that yesterday and she looked amazing. Great skirt.

...she was wearing it with the silver knee-high, high heeled boots from the same show, a black top, and a dark turqouise jacket.

i agree the shape is horrid, makes your butt looks so much bigger than it really is...very, very unflattering.
