Puffball/egg shaped skirts

Love them, but they don't find in my lifestyle......That's why even though they were overexposed on the runway, they'll never ever hit the mainstream.

I'm fond of puffballs, because they're fun and easy to move in. I've got a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier one that I can wear anytime. The knee-length egg shaped (in my opinion) is more difficult. It's tighter around the legs and you end up hobbling around...

I keep seeing this Primark puffball skirt on stylediary. I  it

actually h&m does have an online store but you can only buy things from there if you live in sweden and the stuff you can buy aren't as nice as the ones in the stores

I'm 5"5 and have a good body ... I really want to get a puffball skirt made in navy blue to wear wiht slouchy tees to uni ... do you think I'd be able to pull it off ???

why couldn't you, sounds very nice!

Does H&M still have these skirts & what do theirs look like? Is there a pic you can compare them too. I saw one there a while back but it was black & really short like a mini. Thanks.

I saw a shimmery light gold puffball skirt at H&M when I went about a week ago. It was shorter -- a bit longer than mini skirt length -- and made out of a thinner fabric.

Ok thanks.
Does anyone know of a place online that has them? Im looking for one that is puffy at the hip (not as much as the MJ ones though) & not the ones that have the puffy hemline.
Thanks again.

Stella McCartney's line for H&M had a really great black silk tulip skirt... since all the Stella stuff is sold out now, your best bet would be eBay.

Yeah but is that really a puff skirt or is it just on a horrible manniquin? Im asking because a few people on Ebay said it was very fitted.

I just reolized Id probably need a mini so it wouldnt be too long... theres no way you can really shorten them.

Yeah, I've heard that it runs small... but my guess is that if you go a size up, you'll get the 'puff' shape.

Just thinking about how no matter what I do the skirt will be to long on me & Im having a horrible time finding one here. So I like the egg shaped I guess it is & what Im wondering is...

You know how you can go try on a skirt & the waist fits fine but the hips are actually sewn into the shape of the skirt so they are to big? Well this has happened to me before... so I was just thinking maybe I could get one like that thats the right length or have it shortened & then also have it tapered in slightly at the botton so it has that egg shape/puffball look. What do you think?

there is something wrong with that Dior skirt:blink:
I really don't like it

Ahh I own two h&m (cheapie :P) skirts - one is the black tulip one and the other is the egg type one, both black. I adore them to death.
People give me a hard time about them;
'Why would you intentionally want to make your hips look wider?'
'What is wrong with your skirt?'
'You remind me of humpty-dumpty'...
 :ermm:
