Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garcons for H&M Designer Collection

My bad. I believe those photos weren't scanned from W Magazine. But they are from the collection.

if you grabbed them off of superfuture, they are from HighSnobiety, and were posted back a few pagess. =]

anywhoo, i was at the San Francsico store today thinking about where the display could go. And it seems like it wold go right in front of the door. Perfect for crazy CDG/Rei fans to run to opening day. I so better snatch up what i want, for a halfway decent price for H&M manufacture.

Which brings me to my next question. With these H&M capsules, who manufactures the pieces? The designer's manufacturer, or H&M?

i would guess h&m.
it still needs to be h&m quality (or lack thereof) in order to fit into their price range.

*The original price for the showpiece dress was around 3.500euros+.

whoa

3.5k say what?

at H&M?

with that kinda money i could chose between buying everything in the mens section or that dress

and i hope the Vienna store on Graben will get the whole pie. not that i care for CdG, mainly for prestige reasons

I can't wait to see better images, since the details are lost for the most part.

I'm pretty much only interested in the men's jackets. For some reason though I have a feeling that this collection will go the opposite route of the Cavalli one last year. The men's stuff will sell out way before the womens....I don't know why I feel that way though.

actually i dont quite get their pricing strategy (assuming there is one) because comme des garcons isnt all that expensive, relative to the other fashion houses like balenciaga, mcqueen etc (you get the drift). in fact, i consider commes des garcons rather value for money considering the intricacy of their trench coats, jackets (not the PLAY line of course) etc.

the first two outfits caught my eye, it's very wearable and sophisticated. I just wonder how much this will sell for since the prices on items from their designer collaborations seem to get higher every year.....

that dress looks awful on the model. looks like they picked her a dress that was at least 2 sizes too big.

the womens stuff looks nightmare-ish.

just fyi- it is NOT A DRESS...
it is a long coat...
and it is NOT supposed to be fitted like a corset...
that is supposed to be the illusion...
that is the whole point actually...

:P

i think the average american is going to hate this...
...

yay!...

I really, really like all the women's, especially the polka dots!

But I can't quite imagine standing in line for it, when the same things can be bought on sale at the comme store :ninja:...more expensively, of course, but the quality is worth it to me. :ermm:

God, I really, really hope so!!!

More for us! :bounce:

As long as I don't have to stand in line or wrestle for it....:innocent:

i really love the drop crotch shorts and pants.

its a trend thats id love...even though im not exactly tall.

I like the mens stuff more than the women's I think. I actually don't quite like the trench-dress, but I do love the jacket in the picture next to the picture with the trench dress, and Im going to need a pair of those drop-crotch shorts:woot:

I hope people here hate it. More for me then B)

Oh God tell me I can buy this online. There is no H&M in Arkansas and these clothes are so great and probably the only chance I'll have to buy Commes de Garcons in a long time.

i love the mens and womens.
tbh i'm going to try on some of the womens stuff
looks great and some of it looks pretty unisex
