As you already said. this is also not exactly teh style I prefer, althought it's quite intersting.

What I prefer more is a style like:

personally i like the idea of tall riding boots on men, but it's more of a 'dandy' style trend. which isn't exactly what my style is.

Exactly. Most the time slim but also skinny jeans. But also some slim cordaroys.

I have a pair of Aigle rubber boots in brown and in dark conditions can pass for leather (and they're sooooo soft) the problem is .... I do not know how to wear em .. I always try stuff Im wearing with them and either I look like Mr Darcy or like some farm hand or worst, the boots do not go at all with the rest of the outfit ...

From the looks Ive seen, a big sweater or even a puffer can help ... too bad rainy season is almost over so no boots til next year :S
